This afternoon, I've been exploring with verbose on. I've found that there is a ton of imagination, history, humor and folklore hidden in the room descriptions! Here are some of the fun, funny and intriguing gems I've found:
People such as these protested when the casino opened, saying that the city would end up spending more money on the cost of helping destitute gamblers then it could ever receive in taxes. The city, of course, cares little for the destitute and poor.
There is an old legend of one of the great merchant princes having several lions behind the gates of his warehouse to protect his merchandise.
A long stone wall protects people from falling off the edge but it is said that many jump to their deaths here....On occasion, bodies are pulled out of the river downstream.
A dingy tattoo parlour sits directly to the west. Its wide plate glass window is decorated with a variety of possible tattoos. Everything, from a tiny heart or rose to a gigantic wyvern or skull, is available. Inside a customer sits on a plush leather chair gritting his teeth against the pain of the needle poking into his arm. He holds a bottle of whiskey in his hand, as do his friends that stand around him. Getting the tattoo appears to be a spur-of-the-moment decision.
An old story is that when the Shallamese invaded the city their vaunted Paladins attempted to cross the river to the Cyclade. Unfortunately, they did so in full armour and the boats sunk.
The rich merchants dislike having to look into their neighbours' bedrooms to see them walk about naked.

Mounted atop a mighty snow tiger, this noble knight grasps a pair of frost-rimed broadswords in his hands as he casts a protective gaze over his surroundings. Respectable in appearance, his dark hair and warm brown eyes are offset by the vivid cerulean of his attire. A heavy woollen cloak and finely forged full plate each bear the mark of a Warden: a beautifully etched falcon soaring across a golden field, a runeblade clutched in its gleaming talons. A braided leather lead dangles from his remarkable steed's neck, its length looped in a trusting, almost absent-minded fashion around his wrist.
A runic knight exudes an aura of overwhelming power.
He has 100% health remaining.
He weighs about 368 pounds.
He is loyal to The City of Cyrene.
You see nothing in it.
-Ok, so I didn't imagine it.
You unlock the up door.
You open the door to the up.
You urge a runic knight onwards.
A runic knight shrugs indifferently.
You say in a kind, gentle voice, "Suit yourself, I like you down here."

How do you turn on verbose? This looks really fun as I love reading room descriptions
To be fair half of Mhaldor has gems, QW is not a very good judge of whether or not we can defend. If they left when there wasn't enough resistance, I don't see the problem.

I was tossing up to throw a post out like this about gems/veils, and less than 10 minutes after no resistance seems normal. You get a
It wasn't actually 10 minutes like Exelethril said. According to deathsights they started to kill guards at 22:58. Aegoth died in the city at 23:19, a difference of at least 21 minutes.
Also, several of those people have veils, and I guarantee you that they sensed for the common gemmed people before they started to raid.
That info also shows that they weren't interested in a fight. They jumped into the city and immediately started killing guards, knowing that there weren't enough around to stop them.
I'm all for giving people the benefit of the doubt, but Rangor, Florentino, Deladan, and Exelethril have shown repeatedly that they 1. Don't deserve it, and 2. Have the mindset of "we don't care, we're going to do it anyway".
Florentino went back in himself and killed Aegoth much later, we literally just hit and left after the 5 wraiths.
I'm not sure why you're complaining when Aegoth/Proficy guardbashed with a lyre before when there was literally no one on - apparently that was funny back then. Just fix your guard placements?
Defile our shrines all day. We retaliate by killing 5 guards.
Yeah, and that's cool, especially since y'all didn't kill me. Thanks for that.
But, you were also looking for more portals targets to guard stacks compliments of @Atalkez weren't you? They just weren't there to be had. So it was only 5 (and yes, to anyone wondering it was only 5) because there weren't enough of us around for you guys to portal to someone else.
Anyway, you guys weren't super dickish about it. You weren't there for long. You didn't kill the whole two of us that were lucid or the one that wasn't. Those are pluses in my book. Just silly when no one's around to defend. I'd say the same about Mhaldor doing that when no one was around to defend on your end, fyi.

been combined with haphazard artistic vision, only to be appreciated when the light hits at the

rest at the level of the cheeks, each allowing for some small measure of adjustment in the overall

Well fought forum warrior. But you were not there and you are wrong.
I mean seriously, everything aside, you guys had at the very least a lot more people than they did. At some point people just want to raid. Perhaps it was not as even as it could be, but sometimes thats just too bad.
If you feel strongly about it then just raid Eleusis back.
And you won't understand the cause of your grief...

Exelethril was there too, but dead when I observed.
And before anyone blows up, I'm not salty, that's just dumb.
