    It is not bugged. I've been at high levels of infamy a ton of times, and infamy's been decaying at the usual rate from what I can tell. The help file is probably typod, though, and I seem to recall it always being off. At any rate, it looks perfectly normal for infamy to take a week to decay from solidly, especially if you're not online.

    If you don't wanna be infamous, don't steal. Deal with the consequences of your actions.

    Then if it is some typo, the above will result in it being fixed.

    I had decided to be nice and -not- attack you for being infamous, since you've been complaining so constantly about the griefer that I am. But then you died to Proficy right in front of me while messing around with him, and literally said "No I asked you to kill Antidas, not me!" to him. Right in front of me. Pro tip: if you don't want to be attacked or die to people, maybe don't ask others to kill them for you! Also, you died to me once, lets not make it seem like it was 3 times (and I didn't even get the kill, Farrah did). Only reason Farrah jumped in is because you got Caitlin to come help you try to lock me, so I called in a friend as well. Seems to me that you have no one but yourself to blame.

    Recommendation: stop raiding cities or otherwise involving yourself in pvp, stop robbing people, stop asking people to kill people you dislike, and no one will have any reason to kill you. If you're still doing one of those things, then I don't think you have much room to complain.

    I would believe it was bugged if I hadn't heard complaints like this several times over the years about how infamy is 'bugged' from people who realize thieving is more than they can handle.

    Maybe the bug is that her infamy level isn't displaying appropriately. Regardless 'infamous' should not take that long to run out, she wasn't solidly infamous.

    She was above 'infamous' when I checked, like 1-2 days ago. Infamous lasting a day or two when you had it at the max of threshold because of theft seems pretty normal.

    I actually did some testing with infamy last time I was actively thieving, and it was definitely decaying slower than it should have been, by a factor of 3-4. I was mostly afk on ship or phased so there might be hidden multipliers for that.

    Yeah, ship, phase and city make it decay slower or something? But out hunting it should decay as normal. Even at the max, near to the next rank it shouldn't still be there after 6+ days in realm out of those things and 15+ deaths.

    I have XP on prompt, but I didn't add that until after Dragon.

    I found keeping track of my gold made was way more of a motivator.

    Went to take out some pirates today.

    First time actually doing ship to ship combat.  Performed decently for having zero reflexes.

    Needless to say, I'm a little upset with getting enemied for attacking pirates but...

    Lawd, that was kinda fun and @Czanthria was hillarious with her chatter to me.

    Went bashing as a shaman today and forgot I had swiftcurse up which causes a huge loss in dps when using curse and jinx.

    I have previously bugged this (#408) but the bug's been put in the design category.  Here is a log (https://ada-young.appspot.com/pastebin/f80d2a0b) of damage on mobs with and without the swiftcurse defence active & nothing else changing.   Note that both cases don't use swiftcurse, just curse and jinx.

    Tests on lower hp mobs (for higher resolution) put the magnitude of this bug at about a 35% reduction in dps.   Any chance it can be looked at sooner @Tecton, @Makarios?

    went nuts, and ultimately decided to confirm retirement to start a new newbie life (much of it I forgot about... hey, remember rattings?! I did that over 10 years ago when that Jester guy was doing it to dragon).

    Anyways. A lot of credits cashing in, cutting my own driven loss, and would rather start fresh. Hard to not feel invested in the character due to all the time and money spent, but it is for the best (for the game and most importantly for me).

    Now to decide on an alt (new main) and stick with them forever!

    @aluciana if you're attacking people the infamy will go up instead of down. Even if you are defending yourself.
