Nooooooope.avi. If you bought multiple chunks of spins then yeah, but if you've won 2 from just the daily spin... ugh. I've not even won a damn pansy lottery EVER in any sort.
I hate luck things down completely to luck, all it does is shit on me...

@Melodie Both of the veils came out of the daily free spin. I was more noting that I have bought tokens in the past, and what came out of those spins. I think the best thing I got out of those was a sash that I kept because, why not?
To get in the mood to write my knight essays, I am watching the Klingon episodes of Star Trek.
Let's die with honor, bitches.
I have always had once question about this. Klingons had normal heads in the original episodes than got some disease that made them look how they look now or something. But, when you go back in time to before Kirk they have ridges on their heads. Explain.
3 page essay due friday.
The divergence is also explicitly hinted at in the DS9 episode. Moreover, Odo, Bashir and O'Brien don't even recognize the TOS Klingons who are sitting next to their table in the bar on K-7 as Klingons:
Bashir: "Those are Klingons?" Waitress: "All right. You boys have had enough." Odo: "Mister Worf?" Worf: "They are Klingons, and it is a long story." O'Brien: "What happened? Some kind genetic engineering?" Bashir: "A viral mutation?" Worf: "We do not discuss it with outsiders."
The disease is what makes them look like they do in TOS. They have the ridges otherwise. TOS is just not as fleshed out because it was so young and the canon was not established fully...also the effects budgets for the original show were not enough to do more beyond painting some skin orange.
This is why you have bronze colored space Russians in TOS...and badass warrior race people in TNG. Though in my opinion, the Klingons really come alive in DS9. I am a huge DS9 fan..because Sisko is willing to get down in the shitty gritty world of Star Trek...while Picard lives in a damn post-scarcity utopia world. The farther you get away from Earth and Vulcan...the more likely you are to run into real suffering like the Bajorans lived through.
Also bat'leths are stupid.
The bat'leths harken to fighting with pugil sticks, without the foam padding -- most awesome. Otherwise, I so agree about Sisko; I loved that he was a fan of baseball as one of his small quirks of personality. The Klingons were tenuous allies as well during the Dominion War and that whole story arc did a good job of conveying the emotions of losing loved ones and friends in a war, the occupation of Bajor, etc. DS9 felt very underrated.

I finally found time to log back in after an amazing spring break and had a blast. While I've forgotten a lot, I still managed to die to a lot of people. Business as usual!
I logged in to check messages just to be backstabbed by @Deladan and double kai choked/whatever by @Austere and @Penwize before getting om nomed on clouds by @Rom and two of them. I didn't die that entire time and I am excited because they're all highly artifacted int monks (I think. I don't really care.)
Then they blew a room after I asked them to leave because we had three two people who knew what they were doing towards the last five minutes and a shit ton of novices who had no idea what was going on and was very confused on CT compared to their five.
I dislike being an addict. I should go to bed so I don't kill mom on our wondrous journey to the chemo treatment place thing in four hours. Good night.

Their city. We must strive to be better if we intend to save Creation.
Aye, it was.
Logged in literally 3 minutes after waking up, started getting def stripped pretty much as soon as I finished getting deffed.
There was no real cohesion at all though, and there's no excuse for that.
He is a coward who has to bring two friends as backup to jump people hunting.
You guys were doing alright with Halos around but once he had to go it seemed like you were all doing your own thing. That happens, and it sucks, but gotta have someone step up and at least give some rudimentary order like "stand here". Our guys totally abused telepathy and it was kinda anti-fun for sure, we were gonna just bail but the tank took 15 minutes extra because of some miscommunication. It's important to remember than 1) you don't need to indulge all conflict, especially if your numbers dwindled during the fighting and theres already a tank down and 2) you don't really lose anything from trying crazy stuff once experience loss is turned off on sanction, so that's really the -best- time to step up and knock out some test runs.
Edit: Not claiming I know at all what was going on behind the scenes for you guys or anything like that, just some thought from my perspective.
The best thing we could have done was just bailed before the sanction and let you idle away smudging and what not, given the resources we had available to us.
But sure, fuck it, live and learn. Or you know, die four times and learn.

I actually told the few people in the party to stop what they were doing and not to indulge for the last couple minutes, and maybe, JUST MAYBE, to leave the city b/c at this point the room was gone, but you know. No one ever listens to me.
That or you guys were spamming them or they were too busy doing their own thing. All in all, I don't really care, but I totally agree with you.

I'll be in the thick of it soon, even if it means getting squashed in solo defending. Any little thing learned is worth the time
