Honestly, I understand your frustrations with TDFs impacting your PvP gameplay, but you can totally find other things to do. I guarantee that none of you have explored every single alternative to PvP during your (relatively) short TDFs.
My apologies for not realizing this applied to so many other people. The reference to how short the punishment had been so far must have thrown me off.
So you're telling me that in the week you've been TDF'd, you've explored areas you've not been to before, you've sailed, you've hunted, quested, tried painting, writing poetry or prose, designing something (tailoring/jewellery/cooking), spent time in a library reading a tome? You've done all of these things? Really? And these were just what I could list off the top of my head in 60 seconds or so.
For the third time, yes the fifteen days was excessive. Compared to the months/years that most people spend devoted to particular orders/affiliations, two weeks is relatively short.
Yeah, it sucks. Yeah, you're down and out of the fight for the time being. Come back more learned for it. Branch out. Yeah, it sucks giving up your city/order/whatever. Leaving friends behind and having them trying to hunt you. I'm sure that adds to the sting of not being able to fight for yourself adequately, but it's not the end of the goddamn world like some people seem to think it is.
I'm not saying I support or oppose the current system, but the way it is right now is not worst-case scenario.
I don't think any of us have rage qq'd over being worthless yet. I also don't remember any of the people with the punishment asking what we should be doing now. I believe I already posted a summary of my night. Not sure where this belief is coming from that we are incapable of finding alternatives. .I'm really just confused behind this entire string of posts.
@Lorielan : one fine moment I was a biped with an axe in one hand and a beer in another. Minutes later, the beer fell from my greedy left hand as I was transformed into a shrubbery, and though the rustling brought my leafy tendrils close to the beer canteen, I had to drink the rain and not beer.
Now I get to do what I vaguely recall was the real beast, MXP.
Edit: Confused myself, I meant GMCP!
GMCP is fairly limited here, I wouldn't worry a ton about it beyond a capture.
I chased @Medi around Mhaldor with a small army of newbs and it was amazing.

Went hunting for the first time since my return. Managed to clear out the dyissans, and make 8k gold. re-getting my feel for fighting. hopefully i will at least be competently ATTEMPTING escape from people who start stabbing me now.

Robes of the Magi, -blah-, a pink flannel pajama shirt with white bunnies, pink flannel pajama trousers with white bunnies, an adorable pair of fuzzy bunny slippers, Gauntlets of the Aldar, a Hood of the Sphinx, a mask of lifevision, an Aldar Diadem, a Collar of Agatheis, and a portrait locket of Pandora.
I'm still really not sure how I feel about logs in news posts, especially public posts. Neraeos and Phaestus both beat that habit out of me hard. I can understand it for certain situations (a ritual maybe) in closed things like clans to some extent, but I feel like news posts generally should be held to a higher standard. I understand the BUT TRANSPOSING LOGS OF CONVERSATIONS IS MORE WORK bit absolutely, but it still niggles and bothers me.
That said, recent public post fights have been rather entertaining to view 100% from the sidelines.
And I love too Be still, my indelible friend That love soon might end You are unbreaking And be known in its aching Though quaking Shown in this shaking Though crazy Lately of my wasteland, baby That's just wasteland, baby

Out of curiosity, are you referring to the public newspost, 19812? I thought it looked acceptable, judging by the game's own histories:

General modern-day standards would be found within the last 100 or so events posts.

Not really a dig on you, Aodfi, it was started before you on public, and I see it in a lot of other places too. It just happened to be your particular post that got me thinking on it again.
It's nice to see you guys picking some philosophical fights with each other.

Honestly, huge rave to Mhaldor for being supremely cool about these and letting Team Chaos/Team Good duke it out between ourselves, rather than it devolving to every faction responding to every public post, which kind of muddied the waters a bit in trying to have a back-and-forth dialogue.
Seriously. I am excited to get to kick sand with you guys too, and I very sincerely appreciate the restraint that Mhaldor's shown in that regard.
Borran got to meet a new granddaughter, contemplated the best way to organize his new bard abilities for combat/everyday use, and took his first steps toward returning from dormancy.
Zbaco partcipated in city defense for the first time in who knows how long, and even landed a killing blow to boot. It's a good thing I finally got svof working too, otherwise I would only have lasted about ten seconds.
Slender in width and short in height, this bottle swirls with various hues of white and grey, the glass thick and opaque. Pasted onto the side, a worn label displays fluid yet faded writing.
It has 2 months of usefulness left.
It weighs 13 ounce(s).
It bears the distinctive mark of Sir Lance (a denizen).
Rum sloshes about in it.
There are 8 sips remaining.
