- Limb damage will now cure itself over time, provided they are kept
away from harm. This does not apply to broken limbs, just the damage
leading up to a break.
Can we get a bit of clarification of how this works now? This could be a uh ... pretty significant change.
From some basic testing, after about 5 minutes after the last attack on a limb, it resets to 0 damage. Damage doesn't gradually decrease, it's a complete reset. You get a message that is visible in the entire room. This is how it looks for others:
- Limb damage will now cure itself over time, provided they are kept away from harm. This does not apply to broken limbs, just the damage leading up to a break.

Does any limb thats not hit in 5 minutes reset or if any of your limbs are hit in 5 minutes the counter resets? The former would be a nightmare for knights

Also for unartied Blademasters fighting knights... though I guess that's already a knightmare, so no change there!

It's the former. I hit his arm, and then later the leg. Arm healed before the leg did, so it is any limb not hit for 5 minutes. Do knights/BM really need 5 mins or more to prep limbs?
edit: and a single hit would reset the timer again, too.
Depending on how flighty the target is, I've actually seen fights go on way longer than 5 minutes for a single prep. I suppose this would wind up limiting that so the fight keeps resetting to 0. Limb classes don't have something like willpower running out as a hard end to their fights (except BMs I guess), so that could wind up being pretty bad.
In arena fights against really dangerous opponents (high damage knights/monks, Iocuns), I'm lucky if I get them prepped before my ten minutes are up. >_>
Of course, I fight super cautiously against people like that, but without good artefacts and with an admittedly subpar system, if I stop being super cautious for more than five seconds, it usually spells my death!
EDIT: That said, Blademasters don't really have any problem, given we can just cycle through limbs. I'm just pointing out that it'd be a definite issue for me to be aware of. On the other hand, a knight fighting someone as cautious and slow as me could very well lose their prep!
So basically now do not set up any limbs. Take them all 2-3 shots short so you can whack them again while you spend 5 minutes trying to get past parry on a mobile opponent.
