Haha, problem with Mhaldor is that we don't have much damage. Tons of afflictions (no aeon ) but it's hard to burst people down unless a few key people are around.
Haha, problem with Mhaldor is that we have soulspear, 5+ lupine bows triggered to shoot the same target in unison, soulspear, and more soulspear. Tons of afflictions plus retardation but it's hard to burst people down unless we have at least 15 people vs. 5.
I tried to get an easy kill.... but for some reason my variable to switch from lesser form attacks to dragonform attacks went all screwy. I fail. Hard.

Penwize has cowardly forfeited the challenge to mortal combat issued by Atalkez.

Thick walls of living wood form a cavernous hollow within Yggdrasil, the World Tree. The whorls and
grooves of the surrounding grain produce a complex pattern, and tracing any one line for too long
simply stymies the eye. Verdant leaves from creeping vines grow in lush profusion, climbing their
way up the interior of the tree. Glyphs adorn the ground, forming a large circle broken only by
thick roots that plunge down into the earth below. The flickering flame at the centre of the hollow
casts dark, unsettling shadows throughout the echoing space, and furtive, scurrying creatures
chitter and rustle uncertainly high above. The Flame of Yggdrasil fills the hollow with its heatless

Tumble behind a wall, illusion standing, tumbling, shielding, leave if your Mount dies, illusion applying, tree/shrug the mending applications, snap your hypno do the disrupt eventually stops the chain.
Strata was pretty good at all of that when I fought him. Even half a second of delaying them will let you stand again.

You're giving me too much credit - I'm noob. I never illusion standing/tumbling/shielding and I don't have a 1000cr pet mount. I just keep putting as much pressure on monks as I can and tumble wisely.
Mangle got a big buff with the stancing change so you can move/continue comboing.
That being said, I don't really think perma mangle is that big of a deal. For starters, as far as I know, it's not actually possible to permanently mangle. Secondly, leg combos do not do very much damage. Just sip health/eat moss and with your regen, you won't really go down much in health.
Biggest problem I see in that log with Mizik is that Proficy is using artied damage and Mizik doesn't have sip or regen. If you had level 3 artied defensive stuff, or if Proficy didn't have arties, you wouldn't have been already almost dead just by leg kicks.
Edit: Also, I just looked back, and apparently you weren't even wielding your SoA? SoA's were practically made for tanking that sort of damage.
C'mon man.
And this is all assuming that you actually got into this position in the first place(a very vulnerable position where getting killed is likely).
I've fought Proficy at least 30 times over the last 6 RL months and I haven't lost even once Serp vs. Monk.

You're assuming that no one will ever be fooled by an illusion like stand/Tumble/shield/etc which is a very incorrect assumption.
You don't have to be in a one exit room to use icewalls either.
Talk to Strata for some creative ways to ice wall and prevent monks from doing much to him.
Against monks you have basically two defenses - icewall and mount. If you're fighting without a mount, you've only got one defense. Your life depends on using those two defenses. Mounting drastically increases your ability to survive vs. monks, and leaves you a lot more room for error as well.

I'm assuming I'm fighting someone as good as I am. Who knows stand/shield are not real because a target cannot stand with broken legs (you idiot), and knows to keep comboing and trust alertness.
Obviously, one-exit icewalls means no walk around.
There is no 'creative way to icewall'.
There is tumbling over an icewall every three combos. That is the problem.
Also, just gonna throw this out there: Monk COMBO does extremely little to affect this.
I could write a script to replicate it trivially on my 22 millisecond ping, so basically no difference. The real "problem" there is the stanced movement.

Monk alone should've been able to kill him, y'know, with 9 people in support.

So just relooked at the log and notice I tried to damn to early, He was breaking at 13 not 12 >.>
This has to be the most amusing raid/defense i've seen in awhile.
Why the Monk COMBO command was a bad idea:

Return of the perma mangle, dose of my own Monk medicine.
Any opponent without a 1000cr pet mount cannot fight a Monk.

I can't be tumbling over a wall every three combos. Right?
The problem is in the mechanic. We've balanced monk as a prep/finisher class. Snapkick doesn't need to be this fast.
Problem solved.

I had a lv 2 sip ring, a Highfavour, and runes + boar in that log. Plus Scales.
Each leg combo hit me for 1186 damage, 25.6% of my max health. Tekura would have scaled with higher health.
Only need to get a target in BBT range.
