  • You forgot Australia, or did you leave it out on purpose because you know it would win by a landslide :P
Janeway: Tuvok! *clapclap* Release my hounds!
    Krenim: Hounds? How cliche.
Janeway: Tuvok! *clapclap* Release my rape gorilla!
    Krenim: ...We'll show ourselves out.
  • Left the options in the U.S. on purpose, though I would consider Canada. Also, kind of lame that you can't edit the question or the answers if you go to edit the post (or if you can, I can't figure it out).
  • I'm kidding around.  I know very well that it's better to cater to the majority of players in situations like this.

  • I felt obliged to vote for Seattle, because I'd likely be able to go then, but I honestly can't think of a good venue for it, and it's probably one of the more out of the way options so....yeah, Seattle.
  • Vegas is best. But what Eld said.

                   Party right, party hard,

                                            Sing and dance, perfect bard.

                                                                     Prefarar loop, accentato whore,

Buy a new rapier, get nerfed some more.

Kinda makes sense. Get married in Vegas. Then Hawaii for the honeymoon.

@Peak if you buy the tickets like 5+ months in advance, they are less than 750 :D Which I think is a pretty damn good deal for Hawaii, but then again I'd be leaving from LAX, so maybe it'd vary a bit from other places.

  • That was the price for a ticket to fly June of next year.

I dunno, I have a free tricket :( Okay, no Hawaii. Can we go to Alaska, no one likes alaska, so it should be affordable right?

    Meow, meow, etc.

  • Considering throwing out the idea of a cruise, but.....

I see so many problems with that idea.

They can all be solved with water-walking boots.

A cruise would be so much fun, albeit so much more expensive.

Edit: Just saying Carnival's main port is here in Miami. ;)
  • Carnival was one of the problems I saw with the idea... how many ships have broken down now?

Vegas is the most likely option of those, by far. Texas, Chicago, and D.C. are out because humidity in the summer blows. Seattle is likely too expensive (which would be the case with Chicago and D.C. as well as San Francisco, New York, etc).

    No east coast option. Disappointed.

Cruise sounds amazing, but expensive. However like Dragonknight, it would be very close and easy to get to!
And I love too                                                                          Be still, my indelible friend
That love soon might end                                                         You are unbreaking
And be known in its aching                                                      Though quaking
Shown in this shaking                                                             Though crazy
Lately of my wasteland, baby                                                 That's just wasteland, baby

I'll throw out Los Angeles, 2nd biggest city in the US, cheaper flights overall, amazing weather, things to do (even for those under 21).  Can book a beautiful place like this at Hermosa Beach (which is pretty close to LAX) for a good price in advance.

  • Vegas or Epcot.

Problem is, all there is to do in Epcot is drink our faces entirely off. All the way.

That and it would be explosively expensive for everyone. Except for the dudes I let crash on my couch.

@Sarapis I don't think humidity is the big problem with Texas summers. In fact, just about the only good thing I can say about the summers is that it usually isn't humid and the mosquitoes tend to die in the heat.

That's the biggest place available in Hermosa Beach on VRBO, and it's only got 6 bedrooms (vs the 10 or 11 there) and the outdoor area is tiny by comparison, with no pool. The inside is way nicer, but possibly too nice!

Problem with LA is likely to be cost and transportation I'd guess.

(You can ignore my vote, btw. I only voted because I wanted to see what others were voting for. We're open to other locations, but Vegas has a combination of factors that makes it hard to beat for large groups, which, of course, is half the reason the city exists.)

If you just went to Vegas for IronCon and avoided the casinos and such it's really not that expensive. I don't know about travel costs, but since I was flying from England it was going to be quite a lot for me anyway.

I'll admit that I'm pretty biased towards Vegas since I didn't really get to see/experience any of it and would like to have more time to rectify that next year.

    From Seattle[/spoiler]

  • Austin doesn't sport a proper international airport, guaranteeing an additional connection for anyone coming from outside the US. No direct flights from the UK, for instance.
