Sending letters is a fun form of communication in Achaea, but I've noticed a problem with them. I almost never notice when I receive a letter, or I receive one when I'm busy and I forget to look at it later. If you know a letter is coming, then this generally isn't a big deal, but whenever someone randomly sends me a letter, I might not ever see it. If I'm bashing, there's a good chance I won't notice the message, and if I'm raiding, there's a good chance I'll have forgotten by the time I'm done fighting. Sending letters for legitimate RP-correspondence is neat and should be encouraged, but it often feels like a very uncertain form of communication, especially if you're not sure the recipient will even notice they have a letter. Sometimes I have like 10 letters in my inventory which makes this increasingly infuriating since 1 odd letter won't stick out when I look over my inventory.
My proposed solution to this is to have a notification upon login if you have an untouched letter in your inventory, ie, a letter that hasn't been read/probed. This way, even if you miss a letter, the next time you login, you will be notified of it.

I usually go by the number of months on the lettet in LLIST as to whether or not I might have read it.
My site will remain up, but will not be maintained. The repository will continue to have scripts added to it if I decide to play another game. Maybe I'll see you around in Starmourn!

Thus would we pass from this earth and its toiling,
Only remembered for what we have done."
