@Crixos for being a stand-up dude in the face of a baffling situation.
@Peak has been great to interact with, from settling disputes to haggling.
Reaching down with a massive hand, Sartan lifts your head and draws a taloned finger across your throat, the wound closing as He does so.
@Stheno I needed that. Thank you.
The new Lab in Hashan is simply amazing, huge huge props to all the admin and designers behind it. The more I explore and try things, the more I love the flavour and feeling behind it all.
I'll not spoil it for others, but went through my first autopsy just now...
You put the corpse of Setesh into a long autopsy table.
<lots of stuff here>
You put the partially dissected cadaver of Setesh into a stainless steel draining rack.
Locating a free hook, you carefully attach the partially dissected cadaver of Setesh to it, allowing the body to hang freely.
A stainless steel draining rack is holding:
"cadaver564775" the partially dissected cadaver of Smashy
"cadaver600708" the partially dissected cadaver of Proficy
"cadaver608595" the partially dissected cadaver of Adrik
"cadaver306914" the partially dissected cadaver of Moroa
"cadaver394452" the partially dissected cadaver of Setesh
It is without doubt my favourite part of Achaea right now
That is so cool
Damn, I give IRE a lot of shit some times but this limb damage change is going to be amazing.
Will be interesting to see just how close formulas were to accurate percentages.
A woven journal of spiny juniper leaves descends, resting on a golden disc of pure light.
I gave my journal to a denizen by mistake, and I was helped so swiftly when I issued. I put a lot in personal journals, so I was really panicking for a moment there. I don't think it'd be appropriate to say names, but, you know who you are. Thank you thank you thank you thank you so much!
Depending on the denizen, you can just kill it to make it drop any items it's holding.
@Saonji for a couple of them that steal items when you die to them, you have to kill them and get the item from the corpse, but you usually have to know what the item was.
it was the ghost lady in forest watch. I tried to take it from her, and she growled at me, then I tried to kill her, and she vanished.
@Peak I know. My comment was more that she didn't specify whether it was a denizen loyal to Cyrene or what (IE: Something she'd get in trouble for attacking), or not something her char would want to attack RP-wise.
First let me thank @Gaia so much, for allowing the completion of my heap! This was my first 100% RPing event that I wasn't expecting to make come true but thanks to you it was made possible. It has been one of my proudest moments in game, and just want to say thank you so much!! It was wonderful!!
@Saonji mine was really just a random fun fact :P
Lol @Ryssa I did the exact same thing to the exact same denizen. I think I even posted in Raves here when I issued and was kindly and promptly given my journal back!
Concluded the second round of discussions for the day. Thank you to @Arin! @Farrah @Solfege for their willingness to contribute on such short notice, and thank you to whoever is behind Grut for always making statements that require me to read it several times before I can even begin to understand it.
Thank you as well to those who put aside fun things they could be doing in game to attend - too afraid to list for fear of forgetting somebody. And thank you especially to Cyrene and the CAD for their willingness to work with Aina's shenanigans
A little mini project Mhaldor has been working on was finalized and added to the world today and I'm just really happy with all the contributions Mhaldorians big and small made to it, you all rock!
It was a blast to read through everything sent to me and compile, even if it meant several hours of wading through letters and journals.
And thank you God of Evil, for your godly work and little added touches.
Darn it, now I'm curious and I'll probably never know what it is. This makes me sad.
I have a cute little rat now, and I love him, and he is special.
Double post to show off my rat. So many thanks to @Mezghar, @Lyndee, and @Tesha for making this happen!
Rital, a skittish skeletal rat
Luminous fire kindles to twin pools of aureate radiance gazing forth from the hollow gape of bereft sockets, eddies and ripples of ruddy sanguine besmirching the ephemeral brilliance of silent regard. The right eye socket has a delicate, gold-rimmed monocle propped improbably against it, the glass magnifying the unseemly and sullied arcana beneath. Scoured of flesh and blood and writ in the unmistakable hand of ages come and gone, yellow bone sculpts a slight and slender frame barely two feet in height and draped entirely in an oversized tunic of sombre violet that puddles on the floor behind him. A braided black cord cinches the voluminous garment at the waist, its length woven through the spine of an ebon-wrapped journal kept close at hand. Deceptively spindly limbs carry the diminutive form of the skeletal rodent with evident ease, the upright posture of a poised humanoid in miniature undiminished by the angular features of a rat long dead. Manifest agitation girds each and every motion with a palpable care, delicate forepaws tipped with needle-sharp claws flexing in a perpetual state of wary unrest as the macabre creature regards all and sundry with a skittish yet insatiable curiosity. Atop his head, a dapper scholar's cap rests at an awkward angle, tipped back in a feeble and useless attempt to prevent it from sliding down over his incongruous eye sockets. A creased yellow feather tinged with gold flutters clumsily with each motion of his head, the accessory visibly fatigued of the effort to remain jaunty atop its tiny, macabre wearer.
Enemy entry: Sensing danger, a skeletal rat squeaks in alarm and hides behind Eryl's leg, hissing at Amranu.
Ally entry: Recognizing a friend, a skittish skeletal rat chitters excitedly, then hits Mezghar in the leg with an improbably small journal as he fails to pet him quickly enough.
Sporadic: A skittish skeletal rat lets out a startled squeak, chittering nervously to himself and scribbling in his miniature journal.
He is perfect and I love him.
Needs more WARPSTONE
Thank you for fixing that @Makarios

So proud of the Legion and everything they've accomplished, both individually and as a group. Love seeing the enemy got roflstomped when they finally engage without outnumbering you guys two or three to one.
Wish I could be fighting with you guys, but apparently Eleusis' Aegaens' timezone is exclusively while I'm at work or asleep.
If u were really proud u would quit ur job and play achaea full time
But I have job specifically to support my Achaea habit :(
@Eryl I feel you, our jobs....feed our habits.
That being said and I was even chatting with @Colgano a bit about it last night. Things have been fun lately, were all playing a game, and we need to remember that. But like despite some things, it also brings our little micro-communities closer by having conflict in the bigger picture.
You're an inspiring person when you are about and I think that makes things fun. I think having strong personalities that are inclusive of everyone despite skill level are really what make a City in the game thrive. Hashan does it good that way and I have been having alot of fun seeing those different perspectives working together.
That being said, I wish I had more time, but I have taken in two teenage nephews who eat me out of house and home and work has been incredibly busy. IRL always takes priority, but I am making the most of my time when I can.
Can't believe it hasn't been even a month since I started in Achaea; a ton has happened in that short time I feel. I was initially deciding between Hashan or Ashtan but am now super happy I went with the latter. Smaller population but the interactions, when they happen, have felt very immersive and welcoming. Shout outs to @Wicae , @Makenna and @Grandue especially, you're the reasons I keep coming back and I feel like I can grow my character in interesting ways while getting deeper into the occult 👾. I have in mind a very specific characterisation for Woland but am happy to be the budding and curious novice in the meantime!
Now, I just wish it was June 1 already so I can complete the level 60 resolution 🤣 Been sitting at 59.5 for a while... daily bashing and questing gets up those levels fast!
Both Hashan and Ashtan have been bigger before, and will be again. After a while you'll notice that what city is popular kind of shifts every now and then. Right now Eleusis is all big and fancy, but eventually we'll shrink and someone else will be the new big and fancy.
I think Targ is next when the Paladin rework happens.
yeah... maybe for like 5 minutes before people realize how shit it is lol
