Combination ability

edited April 2021 in Bard

Is there a reason swashbuckling doesn't have a single line syntex attack like so many other classes?

Something like:

quartet <target> <tunesmithing> <venom> <auralbless> <voicecraft>

or

quartet <target> <voicecraft> <tunesmithing> <venom> <auralbless>

Example:

quartet glathna Accentato curare yes limerick

This command will wait for balance, eq, and voicecraft before firing and then it would hit with accentato jab with curare, use auralbless and then sing limerick at glathna.

trio glathna accentato curare limerick

This command will wait for balance, eq, and voicecraft before firing and then it would hit with accentato jab with curare, and then sing limerick at glathna.

Because you want to manage voice balance separately from jabs? That's literally a core element to playing Bard.

You can just use queue addclear eqbal queue add class <sing thing> // <jab venom> to do what you're wanting, if you really want to play suboptimally. Also auralbless is useless, pesante (or prefarar) should always be used to undeaf, except if you need to undeaf yourself.

  • No there isn't something like this because the times are not sync'd and if you try to use them sync'd, you lose aff speed.

Typical bard attack is going to be jab/sing -> jab -> jab/sing, and you're almost always better off doing it this way except in very specific situations where you want to land both afflictions at the same time.

Penwize has cowardly forfeited the challenge to mortal combat issued by Atalkez.
  • @Atalkez It's more like jab/sing -> jab -> sing -> jab -> sing. Very occasionally do the jab/sing balances line up, but not often outside of when you get stuck with paralysis long enough to get voice bal back.
