I kinda want Achaea to branch out its classes rather then create all new ones, like Shikudo, Sublimation, and weaponmastery. Gives classes a lot more flavor in my opinion then just a random new class.
A lot of people suggest runie to receive something new, especially in conversations about factional classes for Cyrene. I think the trouble there is that any change to knight is going to be something of a balance hell. You either add a fifth weaponmastery specialisation, which wouldn't be -too- bad if it was just for runie, but probably would have to look pretty similar to the rest of the specs since that's what runelore and chivalry have to be balanced around (it would also mean that getting any real factional goodies would be pretty implausible, since you can't just stick new group capabilities on runewarden easily). If you touch chivalry or runelore, it means you're basically having to balance four new classes. Either way, it'd be a bit of a balancing mess in the best of cases. Knight classes are already a set of 12 combinations that have to be somewhat balanced. Adding more to that pile would be tough.Shikudo worked because tekura was where most of the offense was, and even then it comes with a host of balance concerns. Sublimation worked by lopping off a tertiary skill that was fairly group-focused as it was. If they're going to add more alternate skills to classes, I expect we're most likely to see it in classes that have less interwoven skillsets and don't already have tons of alternatives that have to ba balanced around.
The membership is already such a good deal that there is no way we can reduce the cost.
Of course an Eleusian wants to mount a tree...
I think that was a joke, not an intended hurtful remark.
I'd absolutely be down for something like that for Cyrene, but maybe with like a Gryphon calvary using variations of polearms, lances, hit and run divebomb tactics aimed at breaking up and harassing enemy forces. Replace Falconry with a Calvary skill that has you get a hatchling gryphon that you raise, train, and bond with to eventually have it fully grown and able to ride. Abilities to charge through an LoS, randomly knocking aside and trampling anyone in the room, as well as the ability to pick out a specific target from the sky and divebomb them, doing damage and stunning them for a brief period. What I'd love to see is city tailored aesthetics for classes which are accepted in multiple cities. Such as with the falcons in Chivalry, only with certain skills. No changes to the mechanics of said skills, just with thier descriptions depending on which city you're a member of.
For example, I'd love to have the ability to change my armour and bastard sword into something more Eleusian via the Runeblades and Runicarmour skills. That would be ace.
That's what customisation is for
Customisation personalises. So nope, it's not.
Not only normal item customisation, but falcons and some other class loyals can be customised once for free if you can convince your faction Divine to do it for you. HELP CLASS ITEM CUSTOMISATION gives the details.
