    No, SoA is  better if you can use it, otherwise you use the paragon.

    SoA is also better because you get the badass shield stats with it. Paragon doesn't give you shit but the SoA effect, which is mildly retarded because it's way more expensive.

    and this is why it would be OP if you changed it to have the shield stats as well.  classes that can't use a shield are usually balanced around the lack of defense, and if they did have one they'd be ridiculous.
