  • lol people used to illusioon me all the time and I'd get asked why I was teaming :(
  • Flagging a few people here for the sake of an answer: @Atalkez, @Cooper.

Is there a speed boost to guardbreak with an artie longsword?
  • could anyone perhaps provide me with a counter for humors from alchy and pressure stacks vs airlord. to be clear something that counts what my humors or stack are at. Iakimen stacking humors is more or less invisible to me right now.

  • Does weaponry interact with weapon mastery in a meaningful way?

yes, it uses the highest of the two but having both trans gives a 10% of the other as a bonus on top.

Weaponry is a skill available to all. Anyone may use any weapon, and any attack
with that weapon. Whether it works or not is another question! The results you
get with weapons are strongly influenced by:
    (1) training, which gives you greater "weapons effectiveness," *
    (2) proficiency in that weapon, and
    (3) the attack used (say, using crush with a longsword).

(*) In the case of certain class skills (Weaponmastery, Pranks, and Skirmishing),
training also increases effectiveness. To be specific, your "weapons
effectiveness" is the higher of your previously listed class skill or
Weaponry skill level, plus 10% of the lower.
  • Is Riding Trample affected by Nimble?
  • Yes.

  • Druid: viable unartied?
  • Yes.

  • What are the exact effects of the hatred affliction supposed to be? Are there certain skills its intended to work/not work on? Limitations? There doesn't seem to be anywhere that describes the specifics

Insofar as I was aware, it's like paranoia except it also affects yourself. Basically treating -everyone- as if they were an enemy. It's also timed, rather than curable.

From the Booreth AB: The sound of this word shall instill a madness in all who hear it, making them believe that anyone and everyone is an enemy.

  • Yes. Simply put any skill that should hit only enemies will hit everyone, including yourself (The self hitting might only be for passive things like vibes/harmonics).
  • Last I checked, deathaura doesn't, infestation does.
  • Deathaura doesn’t hit necromancers at all iirc?
  • It would make sense if only mechanics tied to the room hit yourself with hatred. Vibes, Harmonics, Rites, Infestation, Bloodworms, Static Hinder, etc.
  • Does anyone know if moving from forged Morningstars or flails to lvl 1's is enough to change the number of hits for limb breaks?

    (Party): Mezghar says, "Stop."

it hits anyone in your enemy list
  • It's been awhile since I used forged so I don't remember exactly but every level of morningstar/flail seems to do a little more limb damage than the last, so I would assume level 1 would do more than forged.

Whether it changed the actual number of hits would really come down to their health level.

For me, going from level 1 to level 2 reduced some people by a hit but not others.
  • Does frozen ground stack with other types of room hinder?
  • Yes.
  • Why do you think bracers of frost cost 1k?
  • What are 'good' strength/int stats for str/int monks? Or rather, what should be a minimum str/int to aim for? Right now, is int monking better than str monking, or are they balanced? Also, does dex have any impact on monks, in terms of balance speed and such?

take this as my opinion and really nothing else. but since monk got the bruised ribs afflictions strength hasnt been that important. you can be a "weak" monk if you want now and it wont really hinder you to much. Int monk makes you more tanky. Mind locks are easier to obtain and hold. and KAI CHOKE everyone for 35 percent there health. bwahahahahah.

edit i forgot to answer the question. umm good int to have is 17. thats where the best bang for your buck is at.

  • High strength lets you do dumb stuff but so does high intelligence, and high intelligence enhances your general utility because of mind locks and kai choke. I'd go int over strength.
  • If you're gonna duel with tekura, unless you have a pretty good scythe setup, I'd go with nimble + str. But for group fighting, quick-witted + int is the king. Dragonstance shenanigans are just too great.

I'm not super well up on how Shikudo performs with telepathy, but I'd be nervous about not being able to use a combo cuz you'll lose the eq-reduction stance, but I admittedly don't play stickmonk, so.
  • If I go Monk, I'd be giving stick monk a try as soon as I got enough credits to learn Shikudo.  I mean, even as Tash'la, I can still get 13 str, 17 con (with weathering), and 16 int (with trait). Sure, I COULD reincarnate (again), but I don't think 17 int/14 str would be worth the 14 con it would take to get it. I have a (original) diadem, already, so I have the eq boost. OR I could go 15 str, 17 con (weathering) and 15 int. Not sure which would be the best stat setup since I don't have a free reincarnation at the moment.

If your class's main pk routes scale with damage stats it's almost never worth it to spec for con. I'd never spec con as a pking monk or knight, at least if I'm artied (and you are).
  • Wrong numbers on that last one. STR spec Tash'la would be: 16 str, 17 con (with weathering), 13 int (with trait). Con spec would be: 14 str, 19 con (with weathering), 14 int (With trait). Int spec would be: 13 str, 17 con (with weathering) and 16 int (with trait). I'd have good con either way cause Tash'la, but it would be a sort of min/max on str or int.

Running the numbers for different races (I would even consider) assuming weathering and trait put into int:

    Tash'la
    Specialisation     Str.        Dex.        Con.        Int.
    -------------------------------------------------------------
    Vanguard            16          11          17          13
Protector           14         10          19         14 (current specialisation, but Monk would get its own)
    Elder               13          11          17          16

    Human (+1 dex/int, -2 con)
    Specialisation      Str.        Dex.        Con.        Int.
    -------------------------------------------------------------
    Man-at-arms         16          12          15         14
    Savant              13          12          15          17

    Tsol'aa (+1 dex, +2 int, - 3 con)
    Specialisation      Str.        Dex.        Con.        Int.
    -------------------------------------------------------------
    Ranger              16         12          14          15
    Sage                13          12          14         18

    Mhun (+1 int, +2 dex, -3 con)
    Specialisation      Str.        Dex.        Con.        Int.
    -------------------------------------------------------------
    Keeper              16         13          14          14
    Conjurer            13         13          14          17

    Troll (+1 str/dex, -2 con)
    Specialisation      Str.        Dex.        Con.        Int.
    -------------------------------------------------------------
    Mercenary           17          12          15          13
    Seer                14         12          15         16

    Satyr (+1 str/dex/int, -3 con)
    Specialisation      Str.        Dex.        Con.        Int.
    -------------------------------------------------------------
    Brute               17         12          14         14
    Chanter             14          12          14          17

I'm just not sure what is a good 'minimum' int, or a good 'minimum' str. I figure I'll be losing con either way, but not sure if 13 is too low to be competitive (since if I stayed Tash'la, I'd be going int route for 16).
  • You can basically never have too much str or int as a monk is the thing. I'd pick either int/str to focus on depending on what you want to focus on, then get the other one as high as you can go without sacrificing the primary.
  • Okay, last question: Just how good is Shikudo? Like balanced good, or "willbefixedbybeingovernerfedcausestupidstronk" good?
