Must have magi artefacts?

In a moment of weakness I bought globes. Again. I have a SoA, but that's it. 3.2k health as a mhun magi with 15 intellect.
I have a reincarnation but will stick to the race for now. With this info, what arties do you think I should get? I got extremely lucky with the globes so let's pretend budget is around 1800-2000 cr.

    Diadem. 100%.
That's all you really need to be scary. You can then focus on intelligence artefacts as your diamondskin scales sharply with int.

Then probably sip ring and con belt as bracelets will do less for you right now as you're a -con based race.

diadem is the only must-have. everything else is fluff

  • Thanks you two. And @Micaelis for his earlier suggestion. Seems about on par with what is being recommended. Diadem so expensive tho.
  • Don't let that dissuade you! You don't NEED a diadem to kill folks, it just helps immensely! Also, don't forget diadem comes in two levels now, so you could purchase the first level and save up for the second level later.
  • Also helps bashing because you staffcast. But yes, could get l1 diadem then int arties?
  • Woah so glad I decided to hold off. I have artefact upgrade credits on top of the regular ones.

Just a quick question here - with diadem and shield, focusing on Int artefact after instead of the typical con+sip+bracelt for surviving (mostly for hunting to dragon)? Is Intelligence needed that much, even if you go all int spec with grook/trait/race specialisation?
  • int scaling drops off near 18 int. Having more helps, but its basically just edging out other people at that point. The only thing that scales dramatically at high int is conflagration, which is awesome.
  • Diadem helps with so much more too. Shield, curseward, restore, etc. All eq gets the boost.

    Your health make me sad.

Aye, can one really survive with a spec like that? Hmm, how about Horkval int-specced? :grimace:

  • Int-focused Horkval is a fantastic choice for Magi. Not only for the ability to leap over your icewalls (or anything) without riding investment, but also because their passive armor is perfect synergy with Magi's inability to wear forged armor. You do still want to get as much int as possible due to the way your elemental skins work, and also because damage and mana are just great.

  • Horkval are so ugly though
Deucalion says, "Torinn is quite nice."
  • Horkval are beautiful, but no armour makes them trash for most classes. :(
  • dwarf is better imo. more int, same con. only advantage is leap, and you can get that for 500cr

Leap and resistances, both of which are nice.

I honestly can't stand having sub-5k health and am pretty sure I'd buy lvl 1 con and bracelet before int arties.

Transed all 3 Class skills and put some lessons into Survival to get Clotting. Bought a lvl 1 diadem and have 620 credits left over. Not sure whether to go with the Sash or the Mayan Ring

Get the sip ring or regen first, imo.

Avoidance is worth ~13% resistance to cutting/blunt damage at Trans, for 290 credits. In terms of tanking investments, it's insanely good value. Miniskills are also good (and considerablt cheaper than Avoidance), but they only do one damage type each so a lot of people go for more widely applicable tanking artefacts instead., especially as the cost to transcend all of them adds up.

To be fair, this entirely depends on the player interpretation.  HELP HORKVAL gives only broad guidelines, and the official art for the horkvali bard is pretty human-like

And you won't understand the cause of your grief...

  • Chitin and antennae just don't do it for me :D

  • Then you've got the wrong interests.

  • Chitin is cool, but the lizards are the master race.
