  • i dont know how many ivory mark there are, but it seem that assassins are very small and it hard to get contract as for assassins..

2015/01/12 Tecton, the Terraformer has bestowed His divine favour upon you. It will last for approximately 1 Achaean month.
  • Yeah the system is broken. Hire a mark because assassins have kids to feed too!
  • Totally raided Ashtan and won, and then did a ritual thing in Targossas and a bunch of people showed up. That was pretty cool :O
  • Dies a good 4-5 times trying to figure out the ship.

This time we brought 3 people.  It's okay-ish, but it seriously feels like you need to have someone who can boomerang you back...

@Ictinus Is there something we're missing, or is it purely RNG + boomerang artefact?

    Probe lily

A vibrant glass stem supports the six wide, solid triangular petals of this lily. Each petal glistens in the light, the bauble reflecting the colours like a prism. Clear filaments support the stamen and pistils, both as lustrous as the petals above. Crafted to appear in full bloom, the flower radiates its own beauty, even without a luscious scent filling the air.

    It weighs 2 ounce(s).

It bears the distinctive mark of Leinad.

    Let's say you did 20.

That's 500 cr. Now let's discuss possible current prizes, of which each 'costs' 25 cr. Now let's say you trade stuff in. These are based on approx. Minus 25 charge.

Collection cache. I've seen a total of 1 person that actually seems interested in minipets in the game. You can open and tradein. 5 credits. Net of -20.

Mount Crate. Cause 70 direwolves isnt enough. Currently cant trade in, which at least gives you 5 back. Net of -25.

Pet crate. Cause collection caches arent enough to satisfy the yearning for more minipets. Tradein 5. Net of -20

Mineral plus credits. This will almost always reward you with less than 25. Im going to be generous and say 15. Net -10

4 Racetrack tickets. Let's say you played smart and bet them on someone to actually place third or better. You can make about 20. Otherwise, you throw them on a random win or just lose. Net of -5 or -25

Lessons: I personally like but most wont. You can get more lessons than 25 but it basically is transfering them to lessons. Ill net it as a loss. Net -25

Voucher:  transform your 25 credits into an unredeemable voucher that you are forced to use for a future purchase. Yay!

Upgrade credits. You actually get more than 25 but still forcefully converting your credits into something you can inly use for a specific purpose.

Now good and basically rare stuff.

Stat artie. So rare that I've seen it happen about 4 times in front of me and i camp the wheel often. Relative net of +200

Trades item. I think worth 200 cr. Net of 108

Pipe. Use it or trade it. I believe 100 cr worth. Net +41

Phial of shimmering ink. I believe worth 100. Net of +41

Siren bottle. Worth 500. Net +308

Ironbeard's finest. Worth 150 cr. Net of +75

Atavian wings. Never seen it happen but im told 3 have gotten them. Worth 2k. Net +1308

Talisman cache: try your luck! Got a historical? Ah well. Got a blackwave? Open and you could get 2 items with redeems of as low as 6 cr each or maybe a 250 cr one.

    Probably something else i forgot.

Someone had posted lovely statistics showcasing the chances at the "bad" prizes to the good ones. It was quite enlightening. So in general the fact you are a saying you came out ahead of 500 is a stroke of luck.

    Clearer?

    Edit: added stuff

I just spin 30 times and broke even on VALUE, but I no longer have the bound credits. I started with 550 bound, ended with:

    +50 unbound
    +1 voucher
    +Phial
    +250 cr in lessons
    +50 artefact upgrade credits
    +25cr in miners
and just won back the last 50 on my humgii tickets. I have 2 tickets left and going to long shot bet the 3k twice. I am kind of ok with this, but at the same time it's going to be brutally hard to safely turn bound back into unbound. Definitely glad I managed to spree the day before the nerf.

  • Lol forgot vouchers and upgrade. Added.

  • @Kayeil ooo that's pretty thorough

    That definitely helps.
  • It's like you think I won't cook you.
  • Someone should do the math and figure out the average return per spin.

  • I find the less you spin the better average than the more you spin. I don't have an exact quota though.

  • I see nothing wrong with having a greater chance of losing credits, then gaining them.

Before when we had purchase spins with cash, getting the crappy prizes worth nothing felt terrible.

Gambling promotions from the sight have to have a baseline that makes them feel worth it, and a chance to earn great.

The wheel doesn't. People are putting the credits you have now into it, in hopes of getting more than you've invested. It's a gamble, nothing wrong with that. Don't take the chance if you don't want to possibly lose.

  • It's also a sheer amount of luck. In one session of five spins I got mostly lessons and those pet collection caches. Later though it was pipes and phials.

IDEA: Can we have something that makes learning quicker for 15K lessons slots?

    Thank you @Makarios @Nicola

No. I suffered through learning twelve classes (so nine at 15k lessons each), you can too. At least you can convert the necessary number of credits to get 15k lessons all on one day now.

Like you I remember the daily credit conversion limits, and how I had plan in advance and start converting credits to lessons before I was eligible to learn my third class skill.

These newbs don't realize how easy they have it. ;)

  • The loss still isn't cool. Credits still represent real purchases. Spins can be used up without being a loss. Could be more forced options that are still valued at or better than 25 credits, like customisations and globes instead of nuts/balls and racetrack tickets because forcrapsake those things are so fricken tired.
  • AhmetAhmet Wherever I wanna be
You want to complain about credit gambling having bad returns? Try those damn talisman spin boxes. You -will- have a bad time, and you -will- come out worse than anything you get off the wheel.
    Huh. Neat.

To be fair, I have gambled a ton since the start of this month and really I have come out on top instead of a huge loss. Speaking of, anyone want a Direwolf? You can be an Achaean Stark..or Snow?

  • JonathinJonathin Retired in a hole.
I got a phial, some kind of cask, some talisman caches, a couple pet caches, and some other trivial stuff.
I didn't spend money on all of the spins, so that probably helps a bit.

Doing that now. I'm unsure of the value on some things though.

How many upgrade credits do you get from a spin?
Are collections caches selling at all, and if so for how much?
Just to be sure, mysterious crates are the direwolves and live animal crates are the tundra weasels?
Are the ink-stained rose thorns worth anything?
How many lessons is the wheel giving out now?
@Kez What was the average (or total) number of bound credits you got from those 45 bound credit prizes?
Edit: Are the crowns bound or unbound?
  • Spinning the wheel is like going to a casino. You don't go to the casino and expect a return on your money so why expect it from the wheel? They are both gambling with "real world money"
Deucalion says, "Torinn is quite nice."
  • Because the Wheel is a promo designed to get people to buy into it when they wouldn't otherwise by credits.

So ideally the wheel should generally break about even for you in terms of credits-per-dollar, with the chance to strike it rich. That way, people are encouraged to spin it by the rare jackpots but not soured on your game by a flood of useless fucking mini-pets.
  • No, I wouldn't define the wheel as the monthly promo. Not unless it was from the site only like last month. Your promo right now is Talisman pieces, that's what you get as a bonus for buying credits.

Hell when the wheel came around last September, there was a bonus to credit sales.

The wheel is merely one more thing to spend the credits (that you purchase with real cash). And it is a gamble, get cool exclusive stuff? Or get mediocre crap (That also isn't mediocre to everyone, some people don't mind spinning a pet or mount)

Eh.. Either way, just my two cents.
