Arties:

You do not seem to have any artefacts yet.

Ooooooook, that took up more space than I thought so I apologize.  Basically, I've squandered the 2 no brainer lessons packages and am looking at the no brainer credit package to try to fix things.  I cannot do much else beyond that at this point so that will be the budget I'm working with.  I'm wondering about priorities and have considered them as follows, in no particular order:

1. 100cr to fix my traits, 200cr towards lessons

2. Save all 300cr towards level 1 bastard sword

3. Spend all 300cr on lessons

4. 200cr on level 1 pendant, fix traits for 100cr

5. Um, that's about everything

Please...save me!

  • What are your goals for Brean?  That will influence what skills, traits, or artifacts people might suggest.

Just to check but did you already use up your free reincarnation and trait swap?

  • Oh yeah, I've burned just about everything at this point.

    So goals:

Bashing is rather important since my budget is limited, however this is not my sole focus beyond the 'primary' skills (3 class, survival) after that things are for convenience/perks I would think

I want to be more involved in combat, I'll never have the time/ability to be a great 1v1 player, but I want to work up to being able to join some of those small group skirmish events

That's about as far as I've gotten, I figure RP goals are not pertinent and so omitted those
  • I hunted all the way to 100 without a crit pendant and I honestly found skills more valuable, I also hunted in Runewarden.

I probably cannot emphasize enough how powerful trans runelore might be so you have Runeblades/Runicarmour Jera/Algiz/Berkana.

You can hunt towards 100 with your trans weaponmastery/runelore/avoidance in a very comfortable way, and fund yourself more credits along the way.  You also have Nimble/Lucky which help a ton.  The only other major you might want is robust if your true focus is hunting.

If you want to get involved in combat more I really honestly and truly believe Trans survival is a huge deal.  I don't know your last skill but at the very least you need to have focusing in survival, and clotting if your class does not provide it(It's 737 lessons from inept to clotting in Chivarly so push past in survival and get it.)

As a runewarden you will probably need more strength since 13 with rune isn't going to do much.

You're in a decent position to hunt well but it will take more of an investment to get situated for pvp, in my opinion.

Ah yeah.  Little more history, I was trans runelore once and class changed...a couple of times and pissed it all away, hence my current predicament.  I like being Mhun, tried rerolling as another race and hated that stupid too hasty message, so I might look at a reincarnation for the spec change.  I have the basics from survival, I'm up to clotting, realizing I didn't include enough specifics in my OP.  I'll wait and see if anyone chimes in, but thanks for helping me clear the fog @Finkle brainstorming helps
  • If you have the Health Weaver trait I can't see how you'd not have a free trait reset. That trait doesn't exist as an option any more (hence being listed as Inactive), and people were given a free trait reset when that happened if I recall correctly. You shouldn't have been able to use that reset and then pick the trait up again, so if you've somehow managed to do that I'd submit an ISSUE ME and see if they can sort you out with one (worst case they just take that trait out of that slot for you).

I think you're best served focusing on hunting for now. Once you get to a higher level you should start to be able to generate credits at a decent rate and you can switch your focus more towards PvP (which would mean a racial specialisation and trait change) if you wish. Advice below is for focusing on hunting:

In terms of traits, I'd say Nimble, Robust and Lucky for your majors if you're going to primarily concentrate on hunting. Minors - other than Health weaver - are fine as they are, I'd suggest Meticulous care in that slot at 40 to reduce the amount of time spent getting/inking a new moss and boar. Since you have no artefacts, and likely won't be buying any soon, the constitution will help maximise your ability to tank (which makes hunting harder areas easier), so stick with the constitution racial spec too. Constitution spec, Jera, Weathering and Robust should put you at 16 constitution, which gives a decent amount of health.

If you've got Survival to Clotting then you have everything you need. I'd suggest Runelore until Runicarmour for hunting but you don't need anything higher than that (Runeblades is purely PvP, and being able to work with implanted totems doesn't help). After that, you'd technically get a benefit from Weaponry, but I don't know if it would be worth investing the lessons purely for that. I'd see what you have left after Runelore, the majority of the 300 credits is probably going to go into that.

I picked up health weaver when they accidentally released the old traits, which came out and were subsequently removed before I started playing.  I don't remember the event, but they were released for a couple of days by mistake, and I had just reset my traits with the free one since I had rolled Serpent the day before.  I thought the old traits were part of the new stuff, starting to think it was the multiclass release iirc, but I'm not sure.  Either way, that's how I used the free reset, so I'll try an ISSUE ME to see if they'd be willing to pull that.

I appreciate the advice to focus on hunting, I wasn't sure how to do both effectively and it seems that I really can't.  I'll not use lessons on weaponry, I've read about that math on that one and it really doesn't seem worth it at all.

I appreciate the advice from both of you, and will continue on hunting to fix the mess until my bonus and I'll pick up the package.  Thanks guys
