  1) There's the new retirement system, if you're interested in that, but otherwise most players will post a trade request on the forums here.
  
  2) Yes.
  
  3) You can, depending on your interests! You'll start with a basic PVE ability in the introductory tour.
  
  4) Mainly players, but pirate denizens are not unheard of.
  
  5) You buy the room credits in-game with commodities. They cost 200 wood, and 100 stone. Plot prices vary, depending on your city.
  
  6) In almost all cases, yes! If you've registered your new character with the same email address, you should be able to see it on CHARACTERS, and will be able to reset their password on the website.

  For transferring credits you can use the retirement system if you want to end that character and start a new one and you've bought over 1k credits, or you could try trading unbound credits with someone here (people often post offers on forums).
  
  Cyrene is the the most chill place regarding PVP - there is no pressure to and many people don't, but lots of opportunities to learn if you want to. Only the army is required to defend, non-Shield enlistment in the army is entirely voluntary and based on personal interest. I know some other cities enforce defense to some degree or another but overall it feels like we've been moving in the direction of less intense pressure about it.
  
  Sailing is awesome, there are player pirates. Presently not too much in the way of PVE on the seas but that's due to change sometime soon. You can pay pirates for protection or try to evade them. Sinking is a pain and can be costly in terms of lost cargo or salvage costs (there are also much cheaper player run salvage ops of people with the needed skills are available), but really overall not that bad, just a minor headache. 
  
  Each room credit is 200 wood, 100 stone. Each room is 10 room credits, door is one, upgrades are variable (20-80 room credits per for the common ones). Last time I built it was around 100-120k for 10 room credits. Much cheaper than the old system (50 real credits or ~300k) but still a gold sink for sure. Plots are variable, Cyrenian ones go for 25-50k or so that I've seen if you buy from the Ministry of Development, higher if you buy from other players.
