SAA - South African Achaeans

AthelasAthelas Cape Town South Africa
For the longest time, I thought I was the only one. It seems I was mistaken :)

So, raise your hand if you are South African or even just living in South Africa

P.S. I've been trying to get Biltong on a menu somewhere in Achaea, three contests later and I'm still trying...

Biltong is amazing. There's a pair of brothers who make it in the states, Mile High Dry Goods. They make droewors as well.

  • Durban here! Come say hi Taly!

I keep wanting to post here, and I always think "I'll do it just now."
--For those of you that don't know, that's SA for somewhere between the next five minutes and five years.

From the Mother City myself, born and raised here. I've got family in Zim and Richards Bay. Currently staying in Somerset West... far from my normal friends who stay in Fishhoek and Constansia.

I kind of hate public transport. What should take 1hr by car becomes 5-6 hrs on a good day by train.

    Metrorail? Metrofail.
  • Oh man that brings back so many memories

  • AthelasAthelas Cape Town South Africa
@Arador I own the DVD set. :) It's one of those great South African stories.
  • AthelasAthelas Cape Town South Africa
@Teghaine Normally, I'd say it's metrofail, but this last week was honestly not their fault. They've been hit by load-shedding as much as everyone else.

Mind you, this is the first and last time I'll defend that cesspool of incompetence and corruption.
  • Indeed. A cesspool of incompetence and corruption not being at fault because the fault actually lies with another cesspool of incompetence and corruption. Welcome to South Africa.
