Yeah my immediate reaction to this was "lol so naive, that's how you end up eating a whole cheesecake".

Then I went and made a cheesecake.

Plain crust. Chocolate fudge layer. Brownie chunks embedded in vanilla cheesecake. Salted caramel glaze.

No, not naive. After my discovery of the nutella cheesecake, I learnt very quickly to foist it onto others than to leave it in my house for longer then an hour...

Made up on the fly, the noodles cook better than they looked.

3 (14 fl oz) cans of beef broth,
generous pinch of cilantro, basil and oregano
season with garlic, salt and pepper to taste.

bring to a boil, and slowly add in 2 handfuls of fresh noodles, a small amount at a time, and wait for it to bring back up to a boil each time.

when noodles are added, add in the cooked sausage (I used 1 lb but up to 2 lbs can be used)

add carrots, onions and celery (all optional)

reduce to simmer and cook for about 15 minutes.

    bowl and serve!
  • Did the noodles come out good?
  • KerriaKerria The Red Lioness
    they came out perfect!
  • Your kitchenaide makes me jealous... ever since I first used one, I loathe anything else.

I decided I would give 'microwave fudge' a go. I am unsure what the US considers fudge, but what it create (to me) wasn't fudge, it was truffle, so I treated it as such (rolled it in cocoa). Anyway, it is delicious, and makes a HUGE amount, and my house now smells like chocolate.

    I used this recipe: http://fbshare.sfglobe.com/2014/11/24/simple-steps-to-make-fudge-in-the-microwave/?src=share_fb_new_20020

And I added sultanas soaked in Disaronno*, then I rolled them in cocoa powder. To think of how much I made, this was half a strip from the pan, and the pan was cut into about 8-9 strips. So much...

    A. You are totally right to question the Colonists' idea of fudge. Microwaving anything as a form of cooking is... strange to me.
    B. Sultanas! Yes!
    C. I think I'd still eat it on behalf of the alcohol abuse I would feel guilty of by saying no.
  • Cut up some chicken breast, roll it in semi-dry rub. Bake for ~20min. Voila

    Rub:
    - rubbed sage
    - thyme
    - crushed rosemary
    - oregano
    - parsely
    - basil
    - cayenne pepper
    - paprika
    - a bit of olive oil and lemon mixed in
