    Lol, you're totally right @trey. I blame my phone but mostly not pre-reading before I posted. Donning  a suit of armor takes about 30 minutes... Assuming a full plate of armor.
    Are you basing this off of extensive experience, or something? You're still wrong. Fifteen-twenty minutes tops if you have help.

  • A dusty leatherbound tome of Yen-Sorte - 400cr
    --------------------------------------
    The owner of this tome may STUDY TOME <knight specialisation> once per Achaean day to learn a different style of weaponry for knights. There is a large balance cost associated with this, so take care not to get caught reading during combat!

    @Tecton?

  • i hope lesson packages will be for THAT month when it goes live. *bounce back and forth*

    2015/01/12 Tecton, the Terraformer has bestowed His divine favour upon you. It will last for approximately 1 Achaean month.

    you take the wholoe love/hate thing to extremes
  • So can anybody tell me (since I'm super-busy today) if dual morningstars are awesome for limb prep?  I know stats are being standardized and all that stuff, but I also realize blunt weapons are going to be better for limb damage and if you can spread the love the same way you would as a Monk you're going to have more options.

    I do my best!

    Actually, a lot of it depends on the outcome of this weekend's testing, so really hard to say at the moment.

    The changes seem great. I only played around with dual blunt spec as a 17 Str xoran and lvl 3 flails, was able to doublewhirl most unartied people to death in 4 - 5 attacks. Killed Carmain just pressing attacks while Hasar was testing limb attacks.  So if that damage remains the same when it comes to main server, 2 - 3 knights wielding flails will be able to smash everything in their path.

  • An explanation and/or summary of the changes/commands would really helpful.

    All in the ANNOUNCE news on the test server.

    Didn't include dual cutting because I think it's pretty much the same.

    The same except dual 243 speed scimitars  :#

    And a really sexy RSL upgrade.
  • So to theorycraft best synergy...

    Paladin = dualcut and SnB
    Runewarden = twohander and dualblunt
    Infernal = dualblunt and twohander

    What do you guys think.

    Recover (Weaponmastery)                       Known: Yes
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Syntax:            RECOVER FOOTING
    Details:
    Having learned to roll with the momentum of your blows, you will be able
    to come back to your feet if knocked down. This ability does not require
    balance.

    RIP in peace double delph

    E:
    Expend (Weaponmastery)                        Known: Yes
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Syntax:            DOUBLEWHIRL <target> <limb1> [EXPEND] <limb2> [EXPEND]
    Details:
    You may now expend your momentum when striking at the limbs of your
    target to produce various effects. This will both require and expend
    momentum.

    When striking head, your opponent will be stunned.

    When striking torso, you will drive the air from your target's lungs,
    cancelling any aura of rebounding that they may have begun establishing
    about their person.

    When striking the left arm, you will make them unable to parry
    affectively for a short time.

    When striking the right arm, they will find themselves unable to utilise
    tattoos affectively for a time.

    Finally, when striking either leg, your target will be knocked to the
    ground.

    Pretty sure you can't use recover footing with broken legs or limbs or something. It was more meant as a way to not get completely screwed everytime you attack as a 2 hander, due to slow balance.

    Sure, but that's not the point.  If you're off balance, double delph prones you and keeps you prone until you regain balance, which is enough time for things like Impales and BBTs to land (given it might require things like PT/ART triggers).

    I agree that they shouldn't necessarily get extra screwed by double delph, but being immune to double delph is kind of dumb too.

    (svo): Your max health decreased by 3416h/46% to 4026.

    Not sure if that's a bug on servers or if like that on live as well.

    Seems to inflict a lot of bleed and fractures should probably clear post-devastate.

    Sleep probably does prevent it, but that's not the point - the delph puts you to sleep very briefly if you have metawake up.  Once you wake, you have to stand.  With Recover Footing, you can stand immediately regardless of balance.  This makes the tactic of applying double delph to prone somebody for a second or two as an opening for a BBT/Impale virtually pointless, except to prone somebody with broken legs.

    Only against knight, Which honestly is fine half the tactics don't work on x class because shrugging or whatnot anyways.

    On the other hand the two hander spec at least seems far to strong in my mind with the cure taking up your sip balance. I know the curing for it isn't the best atm.. but people falling over like rabbits.

  • do we know what's happening to fullplate after forging splits off?

  • Tecton said:
    "We'll probably do something like open up fullplate a little more, so someone can make a set of fullplate for a knight who doesn't have forging. We're also looking at expanding and adding to the skill so that there are some new abilities beyond fullplate at transcendent."
    But that was a year ago now, and wasn't certain even then.

    I'd like to see trans forging give the ability to forge a special non-decay armour of each type. So full plate would be the upgraded field plate (only usable by knights with trans forging), then there would be an upgraded version of splintmail (improved stats, non-decay, more expensive) for priests with trans forging, an upgraded version of leather for monks/bards with trans forging, etc.

  • Two hander is interesting. Completely new mechanic. Time will tell how hard it is to balance between damage and fractures. All I can say for now is that someone with a class healing ability is much better off against it than anyone else. You also get two specs in one really since Bastard and Warhammer have different attacks.

    Dual blunt looks ferocious,  but did not have much time with it. Kinda Monk with being able to hit multiple limbs, but not sure how to strongly capitalise of Assault since it only hits head or torso and you don't have DSB. Need to pay with it more.

    Sword and Board looks like the most flexible in terms of tactics, but to really get the most out of the combinations I would have to properly code the offence for secondary strike queuing. The limb damage on slice seems a bit low. 12 hits to break a limb on most average targets . Rend needs less but the 3.5 second balance makes it
    It does look promising though and the momentum aspect with the ability to power through paralysis is very cool. I hope it stays up for a while so I can see more.

    Only sad point for me is that nothing gels well with Vivisect from what I have tried so far. Dual blunt and two hander might, will need to keep testing. The ideas are awesome and I love the relentless feel of the offence. Powering through paralysis etc.
