  • Some shot suggestions:

Scope: (pretty sure I invented this one)
    1 part Creme de Menthe
    1 part Peppermint Schnapps
    1/2 part Blue Curacao
    shake with ice
*It tastes like you're drinking Scope mouthwash. It's not exactly pleasant, but if you want minty fresh breath/belches...

  • One of my favorite shots:

    Vegas bomb: bomb/shooter
    Shooter:
    1 part Canadian whisky
    1 part butterscotch schnapps
about 1/4-1/3 can of (really cold) red bull
shake liquor with ice, pour into shooter glass (4oz), pour red bull on top
    Bomb:
pour roughly 1/3-1/2 can of really cold red bull into a 16oz glass, fill a shot glass with 1/2 butterscotch schnapps 1/2 Canadian whisky, drop shot glass into 16oz glass and chug
  • We do that without the redbull and just call it maple syrup
  • Gatorade:
any bacardi flavour that corresponds to a gatorade flavor
    sour mix
colour- blue curacao for blue, midori for green, grenadine for red, ect..
  • AchillesAchilles Los Angeles
Flaming Doctor Peppers.  Haven't made one since college but it was awesome when we did!

    Commonly used ingredients
    • 1 pint (~13 parts) beer
    • 3 parts Amaretto
    • 1 part high-proof liquor
PreparationLayer the two spirits in the shot glass, with the high-proof liquor on top. Light the shot and allow it to burn; then extinguish it by dropping it into the beer glass. Drink immediately.

  • Stripper's Cellulite/The Silk Stocking: (not pleasant, more of a joke)
    1 part butterscotch schnapps
    1 part peach schnapps
    1 1/2 parts Irish cream
Make sure all ingredients are at room temp, shake without ice, let sit for a minute (long enough to begin curdling)

    Escort:
    1 part butterscotch schnapps
    1 part peach schnapps
    1 1/2 parts Irish cream
Shake well with ice, (optional) top with whipped cream, drink immediately

    Don't ask

    Expected more Korben.

ETA: Sailoretto all the way. Sailor Jerry's, Amaretto, apple juice and pepsi. Ugh, so good.

Well, now I need to buy all those next time I'm near a liquor store. :(
  • My Favourite:

    Jameson on the Rocks:
    2 cubes of ice
    2 shots of Jameson whiskey
    1 tumbler

    Method:
Add ice and whiskey together in tumbler. Drink. No need to shake or stir.

    :-& to everyone but Arador

What @Arador said, but swap the Jameson for Kilo Kai.  Throw in some Dr Pepper if you're a wuss. (Admittedly, I am often a wuss, but the stuff is amazing straight.)

Pastis, mint syrup, ice cubes. Very easy. Very nice.
  • What @Arador said, but swap Jameson for a decent bourbon or scotch, and ditch the ice.
  • It occurs to me that I must be really old if I drink my liquor straight without doing shots.

    Oi.

    @Eld, what would you recommend?

I'm getting there. I prefer a stiff drink with a splash of whatever mixer. I just chalk it up to alcoholis..I mean a refined palate.

Maker's Mark is my usual standby bourbon. If you're in the market for something pricier Blanton's and Booker's are both really good. Haven't done scotch much lately, but Laphraoig is a favorite of mine. It's pretty intense, though (my wife's favorite description of it to quote is "tastes like a dead body in a peat bog" (actually a misquote of something about a "marshy taste" and a "body-in-the-bog quality", but close enough)), so if you prefer something a bit mellower, um...Balvenie's pretty good, Dalwhinnie...I seem to recall Glenmorangie being pretty good.

    I agree.
  • Dirty Girl Scout (shot)

    Creme de menthe
    Baileys
    Godiva chocolate liqueur (brandy)

    Bramble (try it)
    2 oz dry gin
    3/4 oz Lemon juice
    3/4 oz simple syrup
    ice
    gentle stir
drizzle with a little blackberry liqueur
    *garnish with like two blackberries

I've been on a Manhattan kick for awhile now. 3-4 shots of whiskey, 1 shot of sweet vermouth, Bitters to taste, cherries for garnish.

I approve of the single-malt discussion and note that only a few drops of water are needed to release the aromatics. Putting good scotch on ice seems wasteful when cheap scotch would suffice.

Flaming Dr. Peppers. Fill a glass 3/4 the way with your favourite beer. Take a shot glass, fill it 3/4 with Amaretto, then the remaining top layer with 151. Light the shot, drop it into the beer and then chug.

  • Peak I love you man, but your drink choices are not doing much for your claims of heterosexuality.

    1 pt Absolut Citron
    1 pt Absolut Mandarin
    4 pt sour mix
    1 packet Sweet'n'Low

Now that I've disgusted everyone (it actually isn't bad!), here is a drink that no girl has ever not given the bartender a hug for, one that me and a friend of mine came up with while trying different mixes to see what we got.

Rocket Pop (named after the Good Humour treat. Tastes identical!):

    1 pt Bacardi Limon
1 pt Razzmatazz (What it used to be called. DeKuyper calls it 'Luscious raspberry' now)
    1 pt cranberry juice
    1 splash lemon-lime soda (7-Up)
chill, serve as shots, or add 3 pt soda for cocktail-style.

    Lush:

    Frangelico
    Raspberries
    Blood orange juice
    Splash of lemon juice
(D.M.A.): Cooper says, "Kyrra is either the most innocent person in the world, or the girl who uses the most innuendo seemingly unintentionally but really on purpose."

  • @Eld, doesn't everyone drink their scotch by the pint?
