Is there somewhere I can go to get examples/ learn about aliases and reflexes?

I'm trying to set up an alias so that i can hit a button so that i can take out set herbs from rift  put them in my pipes/light the pipes. Then return the herbs to the rift?

If you go into the HTML client's "Client Settings", in the help tab there's actually a link to "Client Scripting Manual". I found it pretty helpful, however regular old aliases are very easy.

Go to the reflexes tab, hit "Add", then "Add an Alias", and you have a new alias. Alias Text is what you type that will activate the alias (a word like, "pipes" or "fillpipes" or something), and the Alias Name the name it will show in your soon to be huge long list of aliases. You'll want to make sure "Matching Type" is set to exact match so you don't end up filling your pipes while you're talking to somebody about pipes.

Then you have your actions. Unlike in-game aliases you can have multiple lines, added by using "Add Action". So for this you'd have actions to get out your herbs, then actions to fill your pipes. If you wanted to add a time delay between actions, you could add a "Wait". And so on - you can read about the rest in your handy dandy quite well written Client Scripting Manual.

And if you want to make it into a button, well, go to buttons and just type your alias text into the command box and voila.
