If your going Rogue Shaman, and bashing to 50, where would yo invest your lessons along the way? Skilled in Curses for better bashing? What about Philosophy or Avoidance? Runes seem a bit pointless unless you get past Skilled... unsure.gif

you might want to get to algiz in runes so you can tank a little, then spend everything in curses

This would be my advice too. Don't bother with non-class skills (except a bit of survival if necessary) until you're much higher in your class skills.

I would say go for swiftcurse before anything else. Once you can swiftcurse, your eq comes back so obscenely fast that you can EASILY hit and run just about anything without really needing to tank a whole lot. Also remember swiftcurse cuts the eq time for swiftcurse, so activate swiftcurse again before your present one drops while bashing.

Balance, not eq, but this guy got it. Go with this.

Swiftcurse does use equilibrium.

He's talking about an obscenely fast regain, is swiftcurse's regain obscenely fast, too? Or am I just not reading that correctly

Oh, never mind. I didn't see the "your eq comes back so obscenely fast" part, just "swiftcurse cuts the eq time for swiftcurse".

k, but I didn't know starting swiftcurse was eq, not bal.

Sena rocks it with the accurate info and neat scripting.

Rajamala swiftcursed cursing is about .5 seconds if I remember correctly. Swiftcurse itself is USUALLY something like 2 or 3, but swiftcurse cuts that in half (it cuts all curse times in half to be precise). I don't really remember the exact times since it's been a while, but to say that it's easy to hit and run is a vast understandment. You become a highly mobile cannon. For some denizens, you can avoid ever getting hit if you time things well and if you can tank a single hit, you can kill it. Hit swiftcurse, walk into a room, bleed as many times as desired, and leave whenever you feel like it (with a maximum delay of something like .5 seconds or something like 1 or 1.5 if you're automatically putting up swiftcurse like you probably should be). Shaman bashing is wonderful.

Also, if you plan to actually use curses in combat, you pretty much have to have swiftcurse and blight. It's easier to pk with vodun instead of curses, but not nearly as cool. You want to be cool right?

Edit: I should add that keeping swiftcurse up blows through willpower like no other. I was trans philosophy and something like level 75 and I could easily blow through full willpower in half an hour of very casual bashing. The meditation changes probably help somewhat, but it's nice to have friends who can grove rain if possible.
Sena
Bleed is roughly 1.75 seconds for raja, and roughly half that with swiftcurse. Swiftcurse is 4 seconds, and roughly half that with swiftcurse.

Swiftcurse is pretty annoying to use constantly if you lag at all, unless you reuse it really early just in case. If you have very little lag, though, it's predictable enough that it can easily be scripted, or you could just count how many times you can curse between swiftcurses.
