After my Bardic win I can afford some of the less expensive artifacts.

Problem is, I don't know which ones I want/need more. Or if I want arties at all.

My choices are below, in the order I think I want to do it.

1. Save for the SoA (~70) credits shy.
2. Spend ~300 cr. on a mount and collar
3. Trans tattoos (444 lessons away)
4. Spend 250 cr. on a tuning fork
5. Trans seafaring. (1447 lessons away)
6. Buy and trans tailors license
7. Turn it all into gold and blow it on stuff I don't really need.
8. Trans weaponry. (1431 lessons away)
9. A combination of the less expensive options above.

But I'm interested in what others think for some reason. What do you all suggest?

Get the SoA. It's great for both fighting and hunting, and is probably the best buy out of any of the arties given its price.
Corbeaux
SoA or tattoos.
Aliath
I would say go with the SoA as well, helps with both hunting and combat, also assuming your main income is from hunting, it always a good idea to get the cheaper ones that helps you with hunting first, as they in turn can help you save up for other ones.
Vasool
only 444 lessons to trans tattoos? Superscribe is win, trans tattoos!
Darroth
fork and trans tattoos
Cooper
SoA hands down. It's basically having the damage reduction of a truefavour all the time.
Mulkerrin
I'd say the SoA for the reasons mentioned, plus because it's the most expensive thing on your wishlist and you're almost there. Saving up to trans a skill or get an artie in-game takes a long, long time. Who knows when you'll be position to consider it again? Psychologically, being so close and not getting will make saving up for it again that much tougher. Whereas getting it then saving up again for something else that costs less should seem easier by comparison.

On the Tattoos though, have you already gotten all your bonus lessons? If you haven't yet, buying 70 off the market and binding them would net 175 lessons. That would only leave 269 left to go, or 32 more credits including bonus lessons. So you could be working towards both at the same time.

SoA is your best bet because it is one of the best arties for it's price, I've bought several. And trans tattoos isn't really that important because of the new change being as you can have multiple extra tattoos before trans. You should either be at 10 or 11 now, chameleon isn't really that important tongue.gif.

Yeah that's pretty much all I want to say on that.
Kateb
Trans weaponry and tattoos
Griffel
Get a prismatic lantern and some goggles of whitesight. All the cool kids are doing it.

Seriously? I'm so far behind the times. How long ago did they implement this? I feel a WTF back-in-the-day moment coming on.

WTF, back it the day we only had a couple tattoos and if you got fed up with that, you had to trans it out to get superscribe, it was the only way! Also something something something about walking both ways to school uphill barefoot in the snow </ranting like an old man>

Just over two years ago, now.

Two new beneficial changes to tattoos:

1. Previously, you gained the ability to SUPERSCRIBE at Transcendant, where you could ink 1 more tattoo on each slot. Now -- you still get that, but you also get the ability to ink 1 more tattoo on your torso at SKILLED, 1 more tattoo on your head at EXPERT, 1 more on your left leg at FABLED, and 1 more on your right leg at MYTHICAL.

2. An additional benefit for Transcendant tattoos - you can now ink tattoos on yourself faster.

Penned by my hand on the 19th of Aeguary, in the year 463 AF.

Christ, it's been that long?

Looks like the SoA wins.

I'm gonna want to get it customized too. So that's really another 120 credits I need. Oh well. Thanks for the advice!

Yeah, it seems strange how all the 'recent' changes I remember happened years ago.

No one says you have to get it customized right way though
