So most of my Achaean life I've been using the F1-F12 keys for most of my fighting, and ctrl/alt where necessary. I recently tried to move some of my macros to regular keys - like 4, a, t, etc. zMUD told me to screw off. Is there any way around this, or can you not use 0-9 and a-z as macros in zMUD?

I can see ctrl- and alt- combinations working, but I can understand why it would not like plain chars.
In any case, there should be something in prefs about allowing any character to be macro'd.

Check "Allow any key to be a macro" under Command Line in preferences.

Yaaaaaaaaaay thanks guys. This will allow me to kill people much more efficiently. There have been so many times where I pressed alt-q or alt-w and a window popped up, then my enter brings up a different one, etc. and by the time they load up and I close them I'm dead or the person has escaped

Yeah, it's useful. I used to macro half my keyboard for combat, toggled by the tilde button.
