Drauka
I said I wasn't going to do this, yet I need help. I'm stuck.

So, I decided to work my way up from the bottom again with an alt, which will give me something fresh and interesting to do. I still can't make up my mind as to what to do with Drauka. I'm not asking for help with what to do IC from these forums; I don't think the line between OOC and IC is very clear for many people. I'm just stuck after a week and can't decide on where to go next. This is sort of a big deal as I plan on it being the final class change for the rest of Drauka's life, so would also need to satisfy RP and combat enjoyment the rest of that time too.

Right now, Drauka is completely classless and is basically shelved at Certimene till I figure out what to do with him. The purpose for this is that I think wherever Drauka goes, it would be awesome for whoever is in control via House/mentor/whatever to regulate how much I learned at a time. I can't help Drauka's past or that he is trans in everything but seafaring, but I can help do this to kinda start over from the bottom and work his way up. Also, I figure it may help to offer some RP interestingness. *shrug*

RP resolution dependent (most attractive yet require a ton of work first without results being predictable):
- Occultist (need to patch things up with Ashtan/Warlocks)
- Priest or Paladin (non-existant RP interaction, they don't even know Drauka exists [I think], but I find the whole Church thing interesting)
- Infernal (need to patch things up with Ashtan/Warlocks and then Mhaldor, and then get permission and maybe pay in deeds and money before given a chance, etc etc etc)

I should be able to change to one of these and still have flexible options (and could still play comfortably being rogue, granted someone would let me learn from them):
- Serpent (complexity is attractive and Thoth's Fang is something I could afford)
- Runewarden (the whole knight thing is very attractive as my character has no honour and no credibility)
- Monk (I enjoyed this class when I played it before yet it's not attractive really, just seems easier)

I would like to have roleplay face-to-face interactions and build upon that more, so it would be nice if there was conflict. I also would like to build more on PK combat, and eventually have that be the main focus of Drauka. If I never have to bash again, that would be great.

I've never really been into the whole forestal classes, from D&D to MMORPGs. I was a Tri-Trans Druid for like a week when I came back to Achaea this last time before jumping back onto Occultist and joining Ashtan.

So, I am trans everything but class skills and seafaring. Am trans tailoring and jewelry, with bookmaking and heraldry licenses. I have these artefacts and can afford more: 3 pipes, buckawn's amulet, a golden band of Draconic vigour, and a Ceylonese bracelet (traded in too many artefacts for lessons when I came back so this is all I have now). Currently race is Rajamala. Current level is 80.59.

Hrm, seems the thousands of tarot cards I had before got stolen yesterday also (just remembered I had those, so I guess they don't come into the equation). I've decided to not let it really matter much anymore. It's just a game and any money I dump into the game is considered spent and it's value is effectively gone. Also the same applies to levels. I want enjoyment of the game to be paramount and not levels or "being safe". Took me several years, yet I really just want to enjoy the game the way it was meant to be played smile.gif

Maybe me playing D&D again has something to do with it.

I hate to come across as overly harsh, but I really think this needs to be said.

Stop coming to the forums with every problem you encounter with your character. These things are formative for Drauka, the character, and do not should not involve the forums in any way. Make the development of your persona a personal thing and stop begging the community to assist in each of your endeavours.

Why hasn't anyone made this into one of those quizzes, where you check a bunch of boxes answering questions and depending on your answers you get...

Your Race is ------
Your Class is ------
Your City is -------
Your House is -------
The God/Goddess you should follow is ------

Your Quiz Results:

Your Race is Siren.
Your Class is Jester.
Your City is Ashtan.
Your House is Carnivalis Institute of Jestering.
The God/Goddess you should follow is Pandora.

Oh God. Where did I go wrong?
TethrynValis
Well... I would hope it could be a serious kind of quiz for those who wanted it that way, with the possiblity for hilarity (Is that even a word?).
Eurulis
Take a jump. Look at a class' ethos. If you like it, do it and actually stick with it.
Quoren
Yes. "Hilarity" is a word. It means 'great amusement or laughter, or material causing the same.'

Your Class is Magi, Monk, Paladin, Priest, Runewarden.

This is why I am crazy and still can't decide...

I was trying to do that and couldn't come up with anything that I could decide on. It's been a week of trying to pick a direction to go with. I was just hoping maybe someone could help where I could finally make up my mind.

I did stop coming to forums for every little thing. I just couldn't figure it out, yet I'll take your advice. I'll just keep Drauka shelved until I can figure it out myself and continue to just play an alt.

There is nothing wrong with having artefacts. It's an OOC choice whether or not to spend money on the game. I personally don't think it's worth it, others do.

In my opinion, the best combatants are those that were forced to use their class skills and develop knowledge rather than just spend 1500 credits to become an lolalt.

Either way, it's what you enjoy. Maxing out artefacts immediately will let you kill all of the low-tier combatants, but I doubt you'll have any luck against a top-tier even with your artefacts. Hell, you may even have problems with mid-tier (right Decan?!?!)

I have one of these in my House currently. Useless doesn't begin to describe it. sad.gif

Ps. Drauka, you manage to overcomplicate pretty much every decision that needs making. Make a decision. Stick to it. That's all you're missing: a little bit of commitment to your choices.
