- 2009/10/19 23:14:39 - Denex says, "I think I might have converted two
Mhaldorian youths to Cyrene."
- 2009/10/19 23:15:25 - Denex says, "One was baffled when I handed her 5
Myrrh.... because of -Kindness-, she couldnt believe it, I think a part of her
died."

- 2009/10/19 23:16:10 - Ariettie says, "We don't supply things to those that
will cause us harm in the future. To be specific, Ashtanis and Mhaldorians."
- 2009/10/19 23:16:23 - Ariettie says, "In case you've missed the city
announcement for the past decade or so, we have a trade ban."
- 2009/10/19 23:16:30 - Denex says, "Indeed."
- 2009/10/19 23:16:55 - Ariettie says, "So then why supply things to citizens
of those cities and then brag about it on CT?"
- 2009/10/19 23:16:58 - Denex says, "Dropping 5 myrrh for several youths of
Hashan, Shallam, and Mhaldor to take isnt trade."
- 2009/10/19 23:17:15 - Lisbethae says, "It is aid."
- 2009/10/19 23:17:30 - Ariettie says, "But knowing damn well that a Mhaldorian
will take it is not something any member of this city is going to look kindly
upon."
- 2009/10/19 23:18:16 - Denex says, "I see... well I stand corrected, and
educated. Apoligies to Cyrene."
- 2009/10/19 23:19:31 - Kozou says, "Um... It was only some Myrrh, I fail to
see how that is going to bring down the very walls of Cyrene... Are we not
blowing this just a little bit out of proportion? Hardley is Denex funding a
War with such an act..."
- 2009/10/19 23:20:07 - Ariettie says, "No, we are not blowing it out of
proportion at all, Kozou. Myrrh turns into quicker lessons. Those lessons pile
up into skills. Those skills are used against us as a whole and our guards and
citizens are slain."
- 2009/10/19 23:20:26 - Denex says, "I dont want to disagree - but is there a
chance we can have a closed door discussion of the matter off the record
somewhere? I really wish to hear everyones thoughts on this."
- 2009/10/19 23:20:29 - Ariettie says, "Those of us who have given our lives
for this city numerous times have quite a big problem with that."
- 2009/10/19 23:20:41 - Ariettie says, "It's not up for debate."

Okay... a trade ban is fine and all, but that... and myrrh... mellow.gif

I love cyrene, they're fast becoming my favorite thieving grounds, shallam is turning into cyrene lite
kazu00
I mean... it's myrrh. That's all I can think to say. I wouldn't mind sharing a bit of myrrh with novices if I thought it would convert them. Those two have a chance to benefit the city in the future and all...
dralian
It might be an exaggeration but it's necessary to draw that line and remind the populace that it is against the law and it's a lot harder to rein in Cyrene than it is Mhaldor or even Shallam and some extra force is needed.
Balynne
Ugh.

That's it. I'm starting my own City of Good. It'll have a massive wooden stake in the town center for burning heretics and people like this.

All found snuggling and canoodling on public channels shall report to the city's rock quarry for pressing. All citizens are required to place a stone atop the accused or will find themselves crushed under the weight of their decisions.

What a joke.

Wait nevermind my word can't be trusted; I'm a jaded ex-Cyrenian.

This made me seriously consider leaving Cyrene. Seriously.

EDIT: Than I decided I didn't really care. Because I spend about zero time in Cyrene. Although playing in chorales is fun..

I wonder if any Cyrenians will post anything substantial here.
I don't really know what, or how to say it, personally.

Cyrene doesn't make comments that might help Mhaldor or Ashtan?

This may be TL;DR, but this is a log of the discussion.

Achaea - Monday, October 19, 2009, 3:57 PM

Office of the Imperiate. (Cyrene)
This large office has been lavishly appointed with strict attention paid to
every detail. The furniture, all made from the finest mahogany, sits on plush
oxblood coloured carpeting. The desk and high-backed leather chair form a regal
looking silhouette against the large draped window they sit in front of. A
small, half-round table bears a large vase of fresh flowers on the western wall.
Above it, hangs a large oil painting depicting the Imperium midway during its
construction. The entire eastern wall is consumed by bookshelves filled to
capacity with all manner of books and manuscripts, with the bottom two rows
containing carefully labelled drafts. A runic totem is planted solidly in the
ground. Otoji Lisbethae Etienne-Le'Murzen, Pontifex Virtas is here. She wields a
Druidic quarterstaff in both hands. She is surrounded by one reflection of
herself. Lady Ariettie Jinx is here. She wields a hunter's spear in her left
hand and a throwing axe in her right.
You see a single exit leading north (closed door).

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "I was curious if Citizens other than
myself who are a bit confused are able to be present."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "Tell me what's confusing about it
and I'll clarify via city post, CHELP, and/or city announce."

A distant song wafts past your ears; a perfect melody that enchants and
captivates. You close your eyes for a moment to savour the Orphean serenade.
When it finally ends, you open your eyes and regretfully return to surroundings
mundane in comparison.

Melodious tones ring brightly from the clock tower and spread across Cyrene in
joyful celebration of the sun reaching its zenith.

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "Well."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "I'd first off like to say that I mean
no ill will, and stand behind Cyrene completely in its actions."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "I understand that."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "What is spoken here is out of casual
candor, as to not 'beat around the bush' so to speak."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "Well good. I'm a blunt kind of
girl."

You beam broadly.

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "So spit it out."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "What is the purpose of the 'trade
ban'"

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "So that we do not supply those that
would harm us with things they can use against us."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "How is 5 myrrh going to harm us in
any fashion? Especially considering it will ail to our aide to gain 2 Cyrenians
out of it, and take 2 Mhaldorians from them."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "Because until they actually leave
Mhaldor, they are Mhaldorian."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "And what is Cyrenes proposed way to
recruit them?"

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "Myrrh turns into quicker learning,
which turns into more lessons, which turns into more skills, which turns into
raids and tactics."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "I feel like education and time."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "I'm not trying to drag all the
Mhaldorians out of Mhaldor and make them snuggly."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "I just don't want our citizens
hurt."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "Which also turns into 'wow, maybe
these Mhaldor Asses really dont see me as educationable, learning, willing, or
anything - they're willing to opress me and push and beat me down into the
ground'"

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "Frankly Lady."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "If I may be so frank."

Your mouth turns up as your face breaks into a smile.

You bow your head in solemn respect towards all those in the room.

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "Learning comes from Training."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "Not from lack of recruitment and
kindness."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "What better way to show to the
Fresh-from-the-flame that their choices are illegitimate?"

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "Giving things away isn't the only
way of showing kindness or compassion."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "Do you think - or rightfully believe
- that not offering 5 myrrh to someone of 15 levels and showing them the basics
of the realms will really cause Cyrenes walls to fall?"

A dove comes flying into the room, deposits a letter into Ariettie's hands,
warbles cheerfully, and flies away.

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "It may not be the last straw, but it
will certainly contribute, yes."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "Will it matter then if we sell to..."

You suck thoughtfully on your teeth.

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "A Hashani."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "Who in turn sells to Mhaldorians?"

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "The Hashani aren't leading full
scale raids on us."

You ask in a confident, but gentle voice, "But are they supplying Mhaldor?"

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "I don't know. That's on them."

Lisbethae takes a drink from a purple heartwood vial.

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "Then we agree that regardless, they
will acquire the herbs in this instance, no?"

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "Is it possible? Yes."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "There's no foolproof way of denying
them supplies."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "Why not use that fact to our favor."

Otoji Lisbethae Etienne-Le'Murzen, Pontifex Virtas says in a low, gentle voice,
"The Mhaldorians are hurting for herbs."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "ESPECIALLY on the impressionable
novices."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "Who frankly just want guidance."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "Then guide them. A friendly smile, a
kind word."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "No herbs."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "No supplies."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "No active taking them hunting to
make them stronger."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "I have been corrected before for
offering a 18 year old Mhaldorian the path to Seasone."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "Because I 'Trade Knowledge'"

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "Then general "She's up north.""

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "Not "Go east east southwest north in
a circle.""

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "...May I pose a senario, Lady
Ariettie?"

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "Lets pretend your... fresh from the
flame."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "You want to know where Seasone is,
and your city tells you to find it yourself."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "And your told Cyrene is full of...
what did he call me."

You suck thoughtfully on your teeth.

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "Heathens!"

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "Yet this Heathen guides him to there,
asks if he needs any help finding anything else, understands how the MAP feature
works, etc."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "I would think that heathen was a
Guide."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "...Perhaps, Perhaps also a speckle of
a thought may pass on why your house or city didnt want to show you this."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "And question their own beliefs."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "That's fine."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "And 200 years pass, and now your the
Lady of Cyrene."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "I grew up Cyrenian."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "But pretend you didnt."

You wink knowingly.

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "You see my point, Lady?"

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "My story in itself is what I would
use to inspire. Not just handing out things."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "I didnt hand out things blandly."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "There's a difference in being
friendly and helpful and being too helpful and aiding."

Lisbethae sucks thoughtfully on her teeth.

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "Yet I was openly chastised over
CityTalk."

As dusk overtakes the city, the sweet peals from the clock tower echo off the
mountains and throughout the valley. The harmonious tones bid farewell to the
sun and welcome in the night.

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "You said you gave them 5 myrrh."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "Before that, what was said?"

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "How I enjoy speaking with
Impressionable Mhaldorians."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "And instead of inquiring a bit."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "And if you feel like that was
chastised, then you truly haven't heard me speak."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "It was lashed out and corrected."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "Speaking with them is one thing.
Saying you gave them myrrh is when I stepped in."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "So before you second guess my
actions, figure out where I stepped in."

Your mouth turns up as your face breaks into a smile.

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "A moment, for my own review please?"

You doff your hat cordially.

Lisbethae takes a drink from a purple heartwood vial.

You drift away from the conversation, lost in your daydreams.

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "I was trying to listen to my
granddaughter give a speech at the time."

Your mouth turns up as your face breaks into a smile.

You doff your hat cordially.

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "I return, sadly to see that HISTORY CT doesnt reflect that far back, and my... mental reserves arent that strong."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "If my concerns are illfounded, I apoligise."

Otoji Lisbethae Etienne-Le'Murzen, Pontifex Virtas says in a low, gentle voice, "I have it."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "The first thing I said was "...and you won't do that again." after you said you gave them myrrh."

Otoji Lisbethae Etienne-Le'Murzen, Pontifex Virtas says in a low, gentle voice, "Or to quote - (Cyrene): Denex says, "One was baffled when I handed her 5 Myrrh.... because of -Kindness-, she couldnt believe it, I think a part of her died.""

You nod your head emphatically.

Otoji Lisbethae Etienne-Le'Murzen, Pontifex Virtas says in a low, gentle voice, "So, she said nothing until it was clear you had given them items that would help them monetarily or experientialy."

You nod your head emphatically.

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "5 myrrh."

Otoji Lisbethae Etienne-Le'Murzen, Pontifex Virtas says in a low, gentle voice, "May I speak?"

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "I'd like that."

Your mouth turns up as your face breaks into a smile.

Otoji Lisbethae Etienne-Le'Murzen, Pontifex Virtas says in a low, gentle voice, "You keep bringing it back to 5 myrrh."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "Im completely open to any discussion on the topic."

You nod your head emphatically.

Otoji Lisbethae Etienne-Le'Murzen, Pontifex Virtas says in a low, gentle voice, "Where does one draw the line?"

Otoji Lisbethae Etienne-Le'Murzen, Pontifex Virtas says in a low, gentle voice, "5? 10? 50?"

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "Thats a good question."

Otoji Lisbethae Etienne-Le'Murzen, Pontifex Virtas says in a low, gentle voice, "The line is at 0."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "I propose the logistical - strategic question of... Why."

Otoji Lisbethae Etienne-Le'Murzen, Pontifex Virtas says in a low, gentle voice, "If you are to ignore 5, why not ignore 10?"

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "I explained why..."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "Several times now..."

Lisbethae nods her head at Ariettie, showing her acceptance.

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "I... guess I just fail to understand the fundamental point."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "I can see imposing bans."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "If it helps them progress, don't do it."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "It might just be me, but I don't know how to make it any clearer."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "May I propose an idea, m'Lady?"

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "Propose away."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "Let me call council - a committee - to evaluate this, and propose several ideas to you on how to better impliment the plan, or alternative bans which are effective."

Ariettie raises an eyebrow questioningly.

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "The simple fact that trade."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "Or, transaction of goods, is banned - is confusing."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "As if I give you."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "As I said at the beginning of this."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "40 myrrh."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "Yet get nothing in return, im not trading anything."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "I would gladly clarify in the news, chelp, or announce."

Lisbethae takes a drink from a purple heartwood vial.

Otoji Lisbethae Etienne-Le'Murzen, Pontifex Virtas says in a low, gentle voice, "I do not understand what is confusing about zero trade in goods and services."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "As far as better implementing, the Senate has discussed it numerous times."

You say to Lisbethae in a confident, but gentle voice, "Define Trade."

You say to Ariettie in a confident, but gentle voice, "Then let a committee fail, but at least offer me a chance."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "I mean to not be... brash..."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "But this is the EXACT reason I chose to walk from Ashtan."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says to you in a poised voice, "The Senate is my committee. The Senate has heard numerous times from citizens before we even voted on it."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "So what would be the harm in another
shot from the most intellectual members of Cyrene?"

Lisbethae's eyes sparkle with amusement.

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "Those who are best versed on the
issue, not just the ones elected."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "I don't feel the need to listen to
part of a city."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "The city spoke. Just because a
handful of people are against it is not going to change the Senate's position."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "We revoted on the bans as recently
as last year."

It is now the 22nd of Valnuary, 521 years after the fall of the Seleucarian
Empire.

Tolling to the midnight hour, the deep bass tones from the clock tower
reverberate throughout the valley and resonate softly through the cool mountain
air.

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "Lady Ariettie, if I may - politics
are left to those who are good at them."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "Individuals with ideas who arent
interested in politics have opinions and solutions as well."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "And they are free to approach any
Senator anytime."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "Whats the harm in hearing their
suggestions?"

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "We -have-."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "Seriously, Denex, are you listening
to what I'm saying?"

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "You just said "I don't feel the need
to listen to part of a city.""

Otoji Lisbethae Etienne-Le'Murzen, Pontifex Virtas says in a low, gentle voice,
"And do."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "I am."

Otoji Lisbethae Etienne-Le'Murzen, Pontifex Virtas says in a low, gentle voice,
"As in what is happening RIGHT NOW."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "Was in response to your "most
intellectual members.""

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "Whom are also involved with
Politics."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "The entire Senate is open to any
citizen's ear."

Otoji Lisbethae Etienne-Le'Murzen, Pontifex Virtas says in a low, gentle voice,
"And Ministers are ears and eyes as well."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "Then the senate wouldnt be opposed to
myself forming a committee to review ideas?"

Ariettie nods her head at Lisbethae.

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "The bans are not going away."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "And they are not changing."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "End of story, Denex."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "The Senate, as I said, just voted
last year."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "I'm sorry if you don't like it."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "Talk to whomever you wish."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "Form a petition to kick us all out
of office and take over yourself and change things."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "Very well."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "But for now, with our current
Senate, things are not changing at the moment with the bans."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "I simply wish for Cyrene to be the
best city we can be."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "And understand we are not open for
discussion of political matters."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "Which I applaud. Unfortunately, my
job is protecting this city, whether it's the popular choice or not."

Ariettie shrugs helplessly.
You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "And I adore your efforts, yet I find
countless flaws in the logic of a few of the decisions."

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "That's fine."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "But, as you said, its that way. No
arguing."

You clasp your hands before yourself and perform a simple, respectful bow.

Ariettie takes a key from a serpentine keyring.

Ariettie unlocks the north door.

Ariettie opens the door to the north.

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "Thank you for approaching me."

You say in a confident, but gentle voice, "Be well Lady Ariettie, Otoji
Lisbethae."

Otoji Lisbethae Etienne-Le'Murzen, Pontifex Virtas says in a low, gentle voice,
"Be well."

Hows this for a discussion?

QUOTE
"Way of the Mojushai", By Crathen Fol'ia, the Otoji Kanu (Page 4) Mojushai Oath
-------------

I (name), in the presence of those here gathered, both in body and in spirit, do hereby swear on my honour to follow the code of the Mojushai.

I swear to protect the house with my life, and to serve it in any way I can. I swear to not share any house information with anyone outside of the house, and to not hold membership in any clans that hold ideals contrary to those of the house.

I swear to constantly seek the Strength defined by the unification of my Mind, Body and Soul, to constantly strive to better my understanding, and to pass what I have learned onto others.

I swear to help others however I can, no matter who they are, or where they are.

I swear to follow the path of Humility: to serve others without expecting reward, to show respect to everyone no matter race, creed or following, and to follow the orders my house should they be place upon me.

Fully understanding all these rules, and accepting them of my own free will, I, (name), swear my life to the Mojushai house.

What was that, Otoji Lisbethae?

I stopped reading the full log after the second time "your" was used in place of "you're". I can't take it seriously.</usenet-logic>

The entire log was lol. Lisbethae was fail.

Lady Ariettie Jinx says in a poised voice, "Myrrh turns into quicker learning,
which turns into more lessons, which turns into more skills, which turns into
raids and tactics."
How does quicker learning turn into more lessons? It doesn't matter whether you take 5 or 1,000,000 minutes to learn all your lessons; you're still going to get the exact same number of lessons.
Soludra
Well... I did a quick check, and myrrh is a key ingredient in health elixirs. Five myrrh = 1 super + 1 single. So it's not like learning is all myrrh is good for, and it's rather silly to push the point like you did in the second log. You were told not to the first time around, and with no harm or punishment to your person might I add. I completely understand why she put her foot down, and so should you.

You can help novices in many more ways than giving them supplies... and if you know it's a Mhaldorian novice, you would be wise to keep quiet about it afterwards.

EDIT: Myrrh conversion assuming trans concoctions; would be one super if non-trans. Thought I'd mention.

Damn, it's like Shallam and Mhaldor, after getting over their quarrels and found that awwwwwwww, they really do love each other, got married.

I approve.

You tell Tecton, the Terraformer, "That's slightly disappointing. If Cyrene is
gone when we get back I won't hold it against you *slips you 3500 credits*."

The Divine voice of Tecton echoes in your head, "Consider it done!"

You transfer 3500 credits to Tecton.

You just received message #1 from Achaea.
Tecton has transferred 3500 credits to you.

The Divine voice of Tecton echoes in your head, "Unfortunatly someone would
notice that the city was missing. I'll try to think of something
less-noticeable for next time!"

That's how it usually is when there's a third wheel. Like Lisbethae in this example, or Carabella in my own personal experience.
Trici
That wasn't blown out of proportion.
At all.

Then again, this is coming from the city, where three people turned me in for being Vastarian, because they read about it on the forums.

That isn't as bad as Xenomorph's public post at me and Otha quoted directly from the combat forums.

I agree it could have been handled better, but to cut them some slack, politics in Cyrene is time-consuming like no other. I watch Wyd log in, and 99% of his time is spent dealing with some problem or citizen, leaving him absolutely no time for himself.

On topic, Soludra said all I wanted to say, so enough on that. I do think, though, that it was extremely poor form to post the log of a conversation that was held in a locked room for a reason, as despite the so-called IC/OOC barrier, I think it will more than likely have IC repercussions - or at the very least, change how characters perceive the characters involved.
Naifos
I'm starting to realize how good RP this is on Ariettie/Lisbethae's side.

The Entire town is founded on being kind of a secluded place, it opened up and new people came in, now they're realizing it would be better (rp wise) to become secluded again. Think of it as a good Mhaldor, People would be outsiders would be killed for going into the sewers, outsiders would be watched closely, executions would ensue, or Oustings or what not. Ties with other cities would close off (Ashtan and Shallam especially, since those are the two the people fled from.)

Regardless of the rubbish I've said above, I think Cyrene could do a lot with this. I think this is showing the line between RP Logic and Real life logic.
Denex
As just elaborating a bit more on the O.P. The tradeban is something that's being worked IC, as i've spoke with many on the subject. What was said is not confidential by any means to my knowledge.

Words cannot express the stupidity I felt coming from the OP.

As people have said already, it was a damn newbie for crying out loud. Get your heads out of backsides. My favorite part was her reasoning behind not giving them myrrh...yeah guard annihilation is approaching. GG
