I'm at the end of my rope, no matter how many times I delete these triggers/alias/variables in nexus, they are right back the next time I log in. Does anyone have any idea how to stop this?
Peirce
Sometimes Nexas stops working or breaks or does things that make no sense for no reason. Deal with it or use something different*.

Gorlasintan
You have to stay connected for a certain amount of time (something like 5 minutes) after making changes to the settings before it'll be saved to the servers.
kazu00
Nexus sucks, but is better than flash client. I would use Mush, but I'm on a mac right now.
Soludra
Use Parallels (not free) or get Atlantis. I've heard good things about Atlantis recently. Parallels would let you use MUSH on Mac, but it's not exactly cheap.

I waited more than 10 minutes, and it was still there... sad.gif

Do you have a back up of your system saved in a note pad file? If you do, you could try remerging or just restoring it. If that doesnt work, export your current system and save it as a notepad file, delete your entire system, restore it, then try re-deleting.

That should probably work!

Atlantis is good, but I somehow managed to break it. Go figure...It rocks, I'm just sucky with programs.

blink.gif how did you break Atlantis? I can't even imagine how you could do that

It just won't connect to Achaea. Any other MUD it works fine, just not Achaea. Either life is telling me something, or I fail. Either way, it was back to Nexus for me. shatter.gif

Did you reset the port to 23?

@Exelethril I don't want my current system it's a runie, and even if i do reimport a new system, it goes back to the runie. I waited for an hour and a half for what Gorlasintan said would happen, and it still reverted.
Exelethril
Hmm, no idea.

Port is 23, I've tried host as achaea.com and the IP address.

EDIT: And Kazu, try archiving your system and then reloading it whenever it messes up?
kazu00
The above doesn't work. I've tried loading an archive with only one trigger in it. When I relog back in, all of them are back. I don't even have this current system logged either. It's like trying to haunt me or something.
Soludra
Email support@achaea.com and ask if they can clear your aliases/triggers? I was helping someone else who was having problems (they had so many triggers that Nexus froze from the load), and I told them to message support and the Garden wiped the settings for her.
kazu00
Looks like I might have to do that, thanks everyone.
Exelethril
Like, how big is your system anyway?

Mine has 1900-ish triggers so it tends to buckle frequently.
kazu00
Mines just under 1900.

what on earth do you use all of those triggers for.
kazu00
Combat, Nexus vadi is about 1800 triggers or so, plus some of my own.
Irion
I figured, but I only have like 400. Does he have like every move and attack in the game on a trigger?
EDIT: or does it have something to do with the fact that it's nexus?
kazu00
He has most of the attacks for every class. Plus, it's nexus.
