Alright, for about a month I've been using the flash client since I kept getting the message above, in quotes, and I updated Java. Last night, Nexus started working again. Now, I've tried about a dozen times to reconnect, and I find out that Java updated AGAIN, so I reinstall in, now the message is back. What gives?

What is your operating system?

If Java is updating without asking, I'm guessing M$ Windows.

Windows XP, manual update. Latest Firefox, and it was working alright over a month ago.
Doesn't MUSH client cost $$? Achaea's already taken all the cash I'm willing to spend on it.

MUSHclient is free.

MUSHclient is absitively posilutely free, and I can never understand where people get the impression that it's otherwise.

It used to be that you had to pay for it or it would yell at you when you ran it (though it would still let you use it).

Ah, alright. Now I gotta figure out how to connect with MUSHclient...
Edit: ...and now, Nexus works again. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot.

With MUSHclient, you can just go to Connection -> Quick Connect. Name it whatever (either 'Achaea' or your character's name are my preferences), and put 'achaea.com' and '23' as the address and port. Simple and easy.
If you want to try to keep going with MUSH, there's an active MUSHclient Users clan in Achaea that I can induct you into. If you want an invite, pester me, Trevize, Baatti, or anyone else who happens to be in the clan.

What's killing me is the sporadic activity Nexus is giving me. One moment, it works, the next day it doesn't, then it does, then it doesn't...
I actually prefer Nexus to the other options. Does that make me strange?

Nah. Nexus is easy to code in, looks nice and has that nifty UI.
Though I'd recommend Mudlet (www.mudlet.org/about).

Nexus is so sooo slow. I'm not sure if it's my connection, but it stalls for like ten seconds on one frame at times, ugh.
