I think denizen merchants should drop atleast a percentage (or even only one) of their wares upon death.
Gorlasintan
I think no.
Soulfyriani
Why? Not even one item? Honours mobs get that much from our corpses when we die.
Firey
Have you ever tried to write a little bit more about your idea?

For example:
- Why this is needed
- What's the pros/cons
- Any specific reason it makes sense that it should be like this?
etc.
etc.

Crap idea is crap.
Soulfyriani
This isn't necessarily needed, but it makes raiding a more viable thing to do. You sneak in, kill denizen X, get something of value for it, adventurers come flooding in to protect their city's denizens, you escape or die.
Pros - benefit to attacking the infrastructure of a city.
Cons - people will attack your city's precious infrastructure, and you'll have to defend.

It's just something that I would like to see. If noone else likes it, then bam, it's instantly closed and removed. That easy. But so far, I haven't heard any intelligent rebuttal of the idea, so I'm guessing it's harmless.

I'm of the opinion that we don't need to reward lolraiders who just blackwind in, kill denizenX, get item, blackwind out. That kind of activity should be discouraged rather than rewarded. I don't mind if you were able to run in past the main stack of guards or something, and then past the defenders to get such a thing, but this way really seems like it has the potential to be abused like crazy. "Low on vials? Go attack the vial merchant!".

But with a successful kill, the raider would only be rewarded with one item, so one vial. Waiting on respawn is boring, and by the second run, you'd be watched for.

Or a larger gold drop from denizen merchants.

Honestly, the reward isn't really that great if it's only one vial, and it's just another bunch of coding that will take three years to get done. Close/delete.

The Eleusian whittler randomly drops vials when you kill him/her, I don't know if it's a quest or what, but it's happened to me a few times. Now you know, go to town.
Firey
Only decent reward one can get from this, that I can see, is from killing those who sells house/order items.

Still, I am averse to rewarding lolraiders in any form, shape, or way. A larger gold drop, maybe, but anything else is pretty much a "No" in my book, as you can just do this again later.

Edit: I ment at a later time, when you are not being watched, or there are not as many defenders around.

They'll drop anything they've picked up recently (or been given in most cases). But denizens only drop one item. Try TAKING more from the corpse to get the rest.

Other than the above, I can't see any real use for this. People already come in and kill denizens just for fun, viable reason or no, and more often than not are in and out before the defenders can do anything about it. Plus, what incentive would the defending city possibly get from this change? More conflict? gah.gif

I really want to kill that -ing Tsol'aa that picks up every thing at Crossroads.

Fixed.
Santar
bad topic, bad poster, bad idea, bad presentation.
Ewell
Lame. Merchants would constantly be dead, annoying everyone who wishes to make a purchase.
