This isn't necessarily needed, but it makes raiding a more viable thing to do. You sneak in, kill denizen X, get something of value for it, adventurers come flooding in to protect their city's denizens, you escape or die.
Pros - benefit to attacking the infrastructure of a city.
Cons - people will attack your city's precious infrastructure, and you'll have to defend.
It's just something that I would like to see. If noone else likes it, then bam, it's instantly closed and removed. That easy. But so far, I haven't heard any intelligent rebuttal of the idea, so I'm guessing it's harmless.
I'm of the opinion that we don't need to reward lolraiders who just blackwind in, kill denizenX, get item, blackwind out. That kind of activity should be discouraged rather than rewarded. I don't mind if you were able to run in past the main stack of guards or something, and then past the defenders to get such a thing, but this way really seems like it has the potential to be abused like crazy. "Low on vials? Go attack the vial merchant!".
But with a successful kill, the raider would only be rewarded with one item, so one vial. Waiting on respawn is boring, and by the second run, you'd be watched for.
Or a larger gold drop from denizen merchants.
Honestly, the reward isn't really that great if it's only one vial, and it's just another bunch of coding that will take three years to get done. Close/delete.
