Can we please have it so that if you're deaf with a mindseye tattoo activated, you will still see the shouts as long as you have shouts on? I mean, shouts are the only thing you can't see while being deaf with mindseye...
I can't honestly see a reason as to why you can't see shouts while deaf with mindseye, but you can see yells?
It also completely takes away any reason to want 'recognition' in vision (3rd last ability in the skill), as long as you're a person who's completely deffed up at most times.

What do the earrings do -exactly-?
They let you hear while deaf. They're basically the same as the earrings of hearing enchantment, but they also allow you to hear shouts/yells. That's the only difference.

I would really hope you could all tell this will not happen. Why would they have an artefact for this if they intended on making it obsolete at the first request?
I thought it was an enchantment, not an artefact. Either way, I also agree this is a fine idea, if Shouts are the only thing you miss with deafness and mindseye.
It would be handy. Given that the artefact is a cheap one, I wouldn't mind trading it in if this was okayed.
More importantly, though: can we please change the rank 10-50 shouting voice so it's not amazonian/herculean? That is so painfully OOC and icky

It would be a shame to miss some nice RP shout because you are using the deafness defence.
Remove the artefact, and let earrings allow to hear shouts while deaf, making them actually useful.
I actually stopped being deaf after I got annoyed when I would miss shouts and had to ask other people to relay what was shouted, especially when Tharos would announce a game or some other RP-related shout. Earrings of hearing have almost no use anyway, since people have mindseye tattoos.

I think you will always hear Divine shouts, also while deaf. And Tharos aswell.
Yep. You'll always hear divine/denizen shouts, even while deaf or with shouts off. You'll also hear divine/denizen says while deaf or asleep.
