This is what it looks like when you receive a forwarded message:

QUOTE
You just received message #5880 from Skye.

QUOTE
Message #5880 Sent by Skye
9/06/18:23 Forwarded message originally from Cooper on 9/06/18:22: Please
forward this message to me.

I suggest it be changed to this:

QUOTE
You just received forwarded message #5880 from Skye.

QUOTE
Message #5880 Forwarded by Skye
9/06/18:23 Forwarded message originally from Cooper on 9/06/18:22: Please
forward this message to me.

The reason for this is someone can fake sending you a "forwarded" message - making up the content, or changing a key part. This would fix it.
Gorlasintan
Sure.
Darroth
Eh, why not.
Jonathin
Yes please.
Lana
Looks like a good idea to me.
Chani
There is already something like that:

QUOTE
You just received message #3326 from Zbaco.

Message #3326 Sent by Zbaco

When you forward a message it automatically adds a dot on a new line underneath it. As far as I know you can't fake that as you can't put new lines in messages you send.

There's nothing stopping someone from just copying the content and sending that to you, which would make it looks like they sent it. The newline-dot is the only thing that mitigates it, either way. It would be nice to have better forwarded-message support though.

While nice, it wouldn't be essential or even useful because it doesn't give you anything you don't have, and it doesn't prevent anything. It'd mostly be a cosmetic change.

That was what I meant, although I probably didn't say it right. tongue.gif

Yeah, I got that. Just quoted yours by accident. blush.gif

It's not hard to fake the .

Serpents used to not have the \n and had to figure the spacing out. Either way, I was unaware of the "." deal. And either way, the "forwarded message" is better than a ".".

sounds good

Though I think this is a good idea, spacing like that doesn't really work now that people can have different screenwidths.

I never realized it or thought of it that way, not being a devious or sneaky person, but faking forwarded messages really can be used in political strategies and the like. Please implement this before more people who think like proficy come around and realize what can be done.

Sure, why not.

I like this idea a lot.

Please, Mr. Pentharian, sir, could we have this?
Santar
I dislike this, because it forces a static change unto a dynamic world.
