How do I communicate "I just stopped playing the game" and ended up getting enemied by House/City (several times), or signed on thinking I'd want to play again and just monkey around, quitting everything as I didn't want to get wrapped up in it and just check out stuff?

Like once, I signed on, quit everything and changed class to try out what a Priest is like (from an Apostate). I didn't intend on playing long term, was just monkeying around. Ended up getting enemied by 1 City and 2 Houses (at the time, I didn't care).

I've been playing for about 4 years, that's a lot of history and lots of quitting and coming back.

Having to explain my entire history will be a pain (something I need to do).
I'm thinking I'll use the lame device: amnesia. Using that, I use my library too, using books I have there to explain my past life by things I've written in it.

I'd like to think the whole time I've been playing Achaea I've been exploring and now looking to "settle down" for some permanence.

I'd also like my history letter not to be a book (well I wouldn't mind, but I'm sure the recipient would mind).

Or RP as having gone off on a journey to find yourself..your history is irrelevant because you changed your way of thinking. Ex, "As I walked through the woods, I realized something. Everything strong prospers, everything weak dies. Why should we not mirror this? The Seven Truths are mirrored by everything I saw, everything I see." stuff to that effect. So you were a priest earlier, make it clear (through RP) that you are past the priest thing, or past whatever you used to be. People won't trust you at first, but you can win that trust. Pick a side and stick with them. After all, their beliefs were reached during an epiphany by your character.

I've done that a couple times, now it's come to like 4 Houses and 5 classes. It's why I'm thinking the amnesia route and just relating what was written (and just explaining where I am now).

I would assume the purpose of me providing this history summary is to know where I've been historically and where I am now (and would like to head).

Really, character history isn't something you can just gloss over. It is, and should be, an integral part of your character. You, and only you, should look at the constituent parts and develop an engaging persona with the potential for entertainment and growth.

I can appreciate the desire for help, as it's not always a comfortable exercise to review the mistakes of the past, but it's something you need to do, yourself, without relying on others to provide what may or may not be a passable excuse for those mistakes.

edit: damned redundancy

That's true. I'll just have to handle it. It's like a 20 year confession. I can't wimp out.

Edit: wow, I've switches classes 9 times.. with some gray area on house/city in two of them.
