A lot of people do it, but you might want to do something to make friends (allies, etc). Maybe join a clan or an Order that you are interested in, just so you can be sort of in the loop. Especially if you're new to the game.

If you're new, I'd suggest making a throwaway char first and join a House and City to learn the ropes. After that, make your wanderer.

You will only be the 6000th active wandering achaean compared to the 15 people who are actuallyin houses.

I think what Flair said is important and his example of perhaps joining an Order whose ideals interest you is a nice suggestion, specially if you are planning to RP the houseless/cityless type.

Hermes order would be a good choice for what he wants to do, I think.

Or Kastalia's.

You could "wander" through every single city in Sapience two or three times within a single game-day. The wanderer archetype doesn't translate well into a game world with proportions based around having fun as opposed to strict realism.

It all depends on how you define 'wander.'

Otha started in Ashtan, went to Shallam, went to Cyrene, went to Hashan (allied with Mhaldor), and now wants to go back to Ashtan.

Albeit this has all occurred over the course of about 300 in-game years.

Because Ashtan rocks, obviously. I miss the CT and the people on a daily basis, I have so many Ashtani alts just to listen to the CT too. If I ever drop the Sents, I'm reapplying to Ashtan.

Dude CT is one of, if not the worst thing about Ashtan, it's like a bunch of Down syndrome children yelling about who's mommy love them the most.

This is not exclusive to Ashtan. Mhaldor is probably the only city that hasn't had to deal with it at some point.

I think it's funny. Then again, I laugh easy. Plus a lot of Ashtani are epically fun to talk to.
