You charge with a lunge towards Azuhi, your sword at the ready.
Rocky fields.
A noxious, red-hued fog overwhelms the area with a thick, palpable vapour. The
Fist of Oppression rises silently from the shattered ruins, emitting a low,
humming sound. Twil is here. He wields a Druidic quarterstaff in both hands.
Minion Cosette Fuil'gra-Tervicz is here, vines undulating about her form. She
wields a sharpened quarterstaff in both hands. Domina Akechi Azuhi Moonwolf is
here.
You see exits leading south, west, and northwest.
With a cry of delight you skewer Azuhi on your blade, who writhes and screams as
the cruel metal is driven deep into her flesh.

A noxious, red-hued fog overwhelms the area with a thick, palpable vapour.
Jagged chasms rip the land asunder, uneven chunks of stone standing silent
across the barren field. Yawning widely like a bored demon, the wound in the
earth stretches down as far as the eye can see, the walls within baring uneven
layers of moist stone. The ground is covered in mounds and bumps, making the
slick, black earth a hazardous obstacle for any traveller. Twin peaks loom

The gates of Mhaldor.
A noxious, red-hued fog overwhelms the area with a thick, palpable vapour. Some
graffiti has been scrawled here. It reads, "Suffering is key to strength and
greatness." A runic totem is planted in the ground. There are 12 naga assassins
here. There are 12 ominous liches here. There are 10 infernal wraiths here. An
enormous slab of volcanic obsidian towers over this area, the regulations of
Mhaldor etched upon its face. An occupied iron gibbet, suspended from a wooden
gallows, creaks ominously in the breeze. A ladder of long, soft leaves comprises
a wispy Weaver's Fern along the ground. An enormous slab of volcanic obsidian
towers over this area, the laws of Mhaldor etched upon its face. A huge shrine
dominates the location and bathes it in intense light and rhythmic patterns of
sound. A sigil in the shape of a small, rectangular monolith is on the ground.
There are 2 eye sigils here. Spreading its majestic golden wings, a giant eagle
searches the ground with piercing eyes. Eyes flickering briefly from out of a
bone hilt, this daegger appears to be alive and hovers close to its master's
side. Standing still as a statue, a blood steed has fixed its fiery red eyes on
some movement in the distance. A huge statue of the Scimitar of Yen-Sorte stands
here, thrusting skywards. Hayte Velkyn is here, shrouded. He wields a Shield of
Absorption in his right hand.

it was fun

edit: and like i said. I was three rooms away from Mhaldor DEFENDABLE when I attacked Azuhi. her throws are what put me in the city. As far as I remembered, people always got in deep crap for doing that before
Azuhi
Ever since I made Azuhi, she's been hunted by Bleak, Dakeyras and the like, but I must say none of them are as annoying as you can be at times. As soon as I started thieving you attacked me, I was with a friend, so he defended me, thus you attacking me for "teaming", so I killed you alone...again and again and again in front of several people so you seriously shouldn't deny it. I do refuse to duel you because your ONLY strategy is behead/hope hallelujah cures paralysis and if it's not working, repeat. Pardon, I lie...your other tactic is watching when I'm afk outside the city, attack me for a while and when you're 100% sure I'm not paying attention(after about 3 minutes), behead.
I did throw you into guards, because I'm just sick of fighting you, being called a "whore" or "bitch" whenever I kill you. If you keep using hallelujah/behead I'll continue with lame stuff too. If you don't like it, stop attacking me! I never jumped or initiated any fights with Darby, if you die to me it's your own fault.
Rynn
If you're going to fight that close to guards (yes, that is close to guards), expect to get thrown.
Santar
I support Azuhi.

He doesn't afraid of ANYTHING.
rledaman
perhaps you should not have smeared the crap out of your name, Azuhi. If you wanted people to care. You became one of the worst teamers ever, often bringing innocent people into it. And your excuse "I am no knight" lent you no credence.

Your complaint about his tactics is also pretty laughable when you do jpk move jpk move jpk move jpk pretty much nonstop and then run to heal. Or jpk, trigger verion to incinerate for great fun. Or Tohma, Pteron and you all jpk at same time.

Yep, sorry but your complaints about people kinda fall short after a while.

Not that I hold any personal animosity, since you atleast were able to send me a message after a couple days and say did not mean to grief. Just talking reality here.
Nulaye
Mhaldor removed all their "fair play" laws when they were crippling us against griefers and other organisations' complete inability to control any of the same behaviour.

It was illegal to summon into guards or to summon people to the island at all for about 75 IG years - so was counting cause from raids.

But.. popular demand, etc. The only thing I really worry about now is trying to keep people from eye sigiling the island. Otherwise, you're on your own, pal.

Also, and specifically to Darby: have you tried being more intelligent? it helps.
Cooper
Darby, you tried the exact same thing to raiders on the mountain multiple times. You abused bugged skills in order to get kills. You deserve anything coming at you.

Edit: not that mind throwing through totems into guards is OK - it's not. There will be a change in my classlead report with a suggested change soon.

What is your suggested change? If necessary, PM please?
Darroth
At OP, don't fight so close to defendable. Especially against a shady monk while using long balance moves. I don't see the need in change.
Azuhi
Santar-SHE!!
Gory- As I said in that message, I'm sorry for those occasions when I teamed you, but I saw you killing several (quite non-combatant) Mhaldorians on deathsight, you also had contracts on me and lets be honest, while I don't care if someone has artefacts (god, I wish I could afford them too). you have a huge advantage, so you can't really expect me, a low leveled, to be able to kill you alone. I was not complaining, merely explaining what happened.
Citrus
Mind throwing into guards is fine, to an extent. Possibly just come tweaking of when it can happen, prone/off eq/off bal.
Azuhi
As per jpk-I bought credits right before we fought, so I was just enjoying my new abilities blush.gif I admit that I still use it against bards, or sneaky people, but it's seriously the single way I get to hit them.

Mind throw is pretty ridiculously OP.

Regarding Darby: Everyone knows that Mhaldor is pretty awful at 1v1 combat. Just give up trying to fight them 1v1 - they'll eventually find a way to bring 3 friends in. I've decided I'm just going to team them constantly too - it should be fun! (Just ask Jaegerl).

Not all of Mhaldor is bad at 1v1 combat. It's just that the people that team are a lot more enthusiastic and stand out more; the people that believe in 1v1 combat also generally believe in not fighting without provocation.

This is very true. There was a time when the claims that I was a teamer really upset me, because I went -very- out of my way to never throw a punch (so to speak) if the groups were uneven, even counting when it was 18:20. I just didn't like it and didn't want to be that way. But people who didn't know me, and the fact that I didn't post on the forums, meant that people could make up whatever they wanted and it would go uncontradicted and thus become sacred truth. I was so worried about my image, and seeming like a nice person, so I went out there and accepted every single duel, won a ton of rampages, and did my absolute best to speak up and not just be silent when I won or lost.

Every situation I said well done to my opponent, offered or asked for advice, and gave it my all-around best. And in the end, it got me nowhere and did nothing for me. No matter how many rampages I won, I still sucked. No matter how nice I was, I was still a -ing -. Everything I did was lame, every win was lag, every tactic was stupid, or it was because of my artefacts (even though, at the time, I had exactly one)...

And now, I just can't bring myself to care and run whenever someone demands a fight. Especially if they have no reason beyond "you're mark" or "I'm bored". I've decided to just play my way and do what makes me happy, because trying to really invest a lot of care into the opinions of a public mostly consisting of... well... gamers, is sillyness.

What I'm after now is not doing -anything- that doesn't further my own or the city's roleplay, or serves some meaningful purpose. I don't fight for the pure joy of it, but I appreciate that some people do - that's fine. I don't think though, that as a person, I can handle being called names and lol'd at and facing down the teenage boy wild aggression day in and day out. It's not my gig. I'm a real girl. wink.gif

This - I'm glad someone finally accepts that, for some of us, Achaea's combat is our favorite aspect of the game, by far. This is why I astral into Mhaldor and try to kill someone I'm after with Nulaye, Gorlasintan and 5 others tracking me down. It's just fun for me - I enjoy House work..to a very minimal extent. Now, if someone would tell Imyrr to accept Infernals or Jesters into the Occultist House, I could have way more fun. Thank you.

And I am glad to see someone else who fights but doesnt do it for the 'fun'

I actually am rather bored and uninterested in achaean combat, I find plenty of other things fun. But its sorta the roleplay choices I made early that created who Goryllin is and I tend to stick to that role. Thus dieing a billion times and being the laughingstock of the achaean combat elite, I just really dont give a damn. I am too nice and fair to actually be effective, but I try to fill my role ably and still be able to have some fun. Unfortunately, most other people dont realize that and I get teamed and ganked because of various so called reasons. Most of them sounding like '' you have artifacts, its fair because I cant kill you alone, duh'' and '' I am not a knight, so I dont care about honour'' or even ''you defended shallam last time I wanted to kill random newbs, a couple achaean years ago so I need to team you while you are trying to take your wife to your ship''

That just tends to get boring.

Quit mark and start rationing out who you give cause to?

Actually Azuhi is probably the only Mhaldorian who will duel me.
Mishgul
I duel whoever whenever. I am Mhaldorian. I duel people who can kill me in <5 seconds.

Azuhi won't duel me. sad.gif

You probably are completely unaware of this, and I think I really should point it out to you. You sound down in this post, but you don't even realise what the opinion of you is outside of the lolpk-self-absorbed crew.

Most people think of Goryllin as someone who is genuinely fun to interact with. I've heard three or four conversations at Stygian in the last few months about how people enjoy the warning messages and the fact that you aren't teaming them and bragging non-stop. Those of us who are actively trying to play a role and only fight when it suits who we are and what we're doing, rather than because we just love to fight and don't care about the role, have a decent amount of respect for Goryllin and who he is/what he does.

Don't be so hard on yourself. The people who aren't screamers think you're doing just fine.

Actually. . Thank you. I generally only here the complaints, the whining and moaning and just feel the constant attacks and teaming. That and putting up with people like Malifuus and Daloc who make up bull- and go completely over the top to try to humiliate me for not being a part of their clique.

To be honest, I really dont care about the opinion of those who only play achaea to kill people. Because I do want to have a role and to be a part of a world. Its yours and others opinions, the people who also play the dynamic roles that make this world go around that I want to be a part of and interact with. So I do thank you for your words. Sometimes I get frustrated trying to keep and even keel and ignore the idiots when I cant seem to even get one word out before its shunted aside with an insult or such.

@Laorir.. I dont give cause to anyone. I am not out there raiding and defiling and doing that stuff. But I am a Mark because Goryllin feels its his duty to give his city an outlet and I try to play a little more agressive in proactive defense by forcing the battle away from the cyrene gates. Its worked, and I see much accomplished through the role that I play. So I take the lumps and continue to play as Goryllin dictates. Its not about winning or etc, its about protecting the city and establishing an atmosphere for the young to know its okay to learn to fight and defend, unlike when Goryllin joined the city.

But anyways, thats a little bit too much explanation. Heh, its Ic and should stay ic. Sorry for jacking the thread.
Danith
I was hoping Azuhi would take this time to thank Danith for being a great guy and not killing her when she was AFK in the middle of Mhaldor.

Oh well. I'll have to go find my attention elsewhere.

Goryllin is pretty much a joke in the combat community. His ego is so big but he doesn't realize how bad he really is.

Heh. You are an idiot, my friend. Its funny though, how Ic and ooc egos get confused. You? You have an ooc ego that declares you are one of the best fighters ever and if you had artifacts would wipe the floor with everyone and the only reason you die to people is because they have artifacts. That translates into Darroth being rude and abrasive at times (note, at times) to people who do not fight as good as you think you do ooc. Thats bad.

I have no ooc ego about my fighting, I sincerely cant give a damn about it and dont care who I can and can not kill. I am definately not as bad as people make me out to be here on the forums, but I am not the best nor close and I dont care.

Goryllin ic might have an ego about things (though not his combat) but he is not going to let some pipsqueak from shallam who is not worthy to clean his Knightly boots tell him that he bought his Mithril Spurs. Sorry dude, but when you talk like that to a Knight of Goryllin's stature, you deserve what you got, a beat down in that arena fight.

Quit confusing Ic and ooc ego's.
Danith
Goryllin, do you remember when you were Knighted? I'm trying to remember if I was there... I think it may have been the first one I ever saw.

P.S. Oh, and feel free to continue on-topic.
