I wasn't able to find this after doing a quick search through forums, though it may very well be posted somewhere, but does anyone by chance happen to have a list of what afflictions are curable by touching a tree tattoo and which ones are curable by focusing?

yes it will cure a broken arm if you only got one broken, if both arms are broken you can't touch the tattoo

It will cure crippled limbs, i.e. one mending application to cure, but not broken limbs.
