A small idea, not sure if it's a good one or not, so it's here for critique.
When one gains Simultaneity in elementalism, can the ability SEVER ALL be added to it, so you can sever all of your channels at once?

So long as it is forceable.

Is.
EDIT: Unless normal sever is already unforceable.

Sever is already unforceable, I believe.

Sever should be made forceable.

Sure, although I have never needed to sever all channels at once. (EDIT: Or had any reason to sever at all really...)
Does Sever take balance? If no, this is easily aliased... (I use CHANNEL ALL as my sim alias, by the by)

Severing/rechannelling to kill a knife sigil, willpower regen, etc.

Agreed, make it forceable and make severing forceable if it is not. It would actually give some usefulness to simultaneity (putting them back up quickly).

No it doesn't. Hmm, as that's the case, I'm happy to alias it.

Sever shouldn't be made forceable, magi have it bad enough as it is.

Channeling and Severing are actually fairly involved as far as combat balance goes. Sever does not use Balance/EQ or require Balance/EQ, although Channeling does. This is necessary because it is the primary method of dealing with a Knife Sigil. Opening a Channel in the presence of a Knife will destroy the Knife. But you can't open an already open Channel, you would have to Sever it first then Channel. If they did require Balance/EQ, it would then require 2 EQ's (one to Sever, one to Channel, up to 4 if you also reBind and reFortify) plus the 200 Mana to Channel in order to deal with a Knife, which itself is a passive no-Balance/EQ item usable by any class. If it were Forceable, it would be completely unstoppable since it would be usable at any time. Mage-wise, the only Elementalism skills you can use without open Channels are of course Channel, and Staffcast if you already have a Staff summoned.
Simultaneity is 1000 Mana and a longer EQ than Channel, but still used because it will work regardless of open Channels, and for faster redeffing after Starbursts/Rezzing.

Sounds a bit bad that one can take out most of the users ability whom rely on channels with one swift force... and using simul--- takes a heft chunk of mana and EQ, so either way the person is going to be way too vulnerable from one attack.
I also use CHANNEL ALL as my simul--- alias
