I use Nexus, and of late I've been trying to create a system for combat using keybindings. It's backfiring.
For instance, I create this keybinding:
F12
unwield dirk
unwield whip
wield darkbow
#echo *****RANGED ENABLED*****
I log out, and log back in, and press F12. Nothing happens. I open the reflex editor and narrow my reflexes down to keybindings. There's nothing there. And yes, I've been saving my keybindings, because I had an entire set, F1-12, set up to do various things, used them, and had them disappear sometimes between creating them and logging back in today. This happens, it seems, every time I log out and back in, and it's starting to piss me off.
Should I just archive my reflexes once they're optimal, and reload them every time Nexus dependably eats my keybindings?
Edit: Actually, now that I've found out what the out-of-sync icon is...is that what's making Nexus eat my keybindings? And will I eventually get those reflexes back? Or do I have to stay on long enough for the icon to vanish?

You have to stay on long enough for the Icon to vanish. And yes you have to archive and load. That is what i have to do. I know it's dumb but it's not a reliable client.

But it -is- free and it works on a Mac. And so I loves it (at least until Mudlet finishes getting updated!)

- vanishes on Nexus. everything, not only key-bindings. When you get it all set up, save it as an archive, so that whenever something gets deleted you can load it. Be sure to save it again everytime you add something else

Archives sometimes get -ed too.
Export as xml to notepad after each change and reload when necessary.

I haven't read the Dorsai books in a long time. They are amazing. Tactics of Mistake and Soldier, Ask Not are my favourites!
