This is a poll but not really a vote. I'm just curious, what is the best Damage over time weapon for like the knight classes?

rapier/broad for arties, or just in general I think. Double longs are close, so is long/rap I think.

Two balanced out stat rapiers for ordinary weapons.

piercer+broadsword for arties.

If you are bashing, i think it is rapier/rapier because of crits.

For highbies, rapier/rapier is good for that reason.

That, or rapier/slow-weapon for more damage with less speed sacrifice.

I was talking about pvp, really.


Edit: So Scimitars are a bad idea? The race would be mhun.

Might want to talk to Metzger about scimitars. They can be quite effective if used properly. I had some luck with them(but I got bored or whatever and quit sparring as usual).

highest dps weapon combination is rapier/battleaxe

Scims are alright if you get level 3s. It's difficult to find a forged one that isn't trash though.

The best 'in reality' dps weapon combination is a pair of rapiers. Venoms add damage as well, especially when done properly.

I'm just talking basic weapons, nothing I'm going to spend credits on really, maybe invest a bit of gold into it, but not buying artie weapons, just having somebody forging me like about 5-20 or so.

Scims really aren't worth it. For non artifacts, rapier/broad.

Rangor tears through - pretty swiftly with Soulpiercer/Scimitar of Eagles. It's slow, though. Only herb you'll be chasing is hawthorn.

If I can only have one prof besides the shortsword/longsword I start out with? (lack of lessons and such)

Definitely, also give more input, class, race...

Rapiers are overall best weapons, I wish they add some tweaks to longsword/broadsword (not stat wise, just some side perks) to motivate more diversity of weapons.

Wasn't Batista pushing for an upgrade to scimitar stats, especially speed? I remember him mentioning they should be faster than what they are but not as fast as rapiers.

They got +5 to base speed and got cut off 5 damage I think.
