Hooray for Melbourne!
What do you have in mind? Can we worship at the church of the Good Guys?

Honestly, I didn't really have anything in mind. Feel free to throw out idea's though, but more of wanting to know who would be willing to come along. I mean, there is always the casino, unless you're underaged. Depending on the date, there's bound to be some sort of festival or something happening.

Hmm! I'm overage but I'm not sure my conscience will allow me to give money to Mr Packer just at this moment. Did you hear Brumby is going to double the amount of gambling facilities there? THE HELL?
Maybe we could do something picnic-y?

Well, picnic-y in melbourne is certainly doable. We've got the zoo, we can point and laugh at animals that look like other achaeans we know, the botanic gardens, where we can all pretend to be forestals and harvest herbs and sell concoctions to the passers-by, among others.

I can see this going down so well.
Shadey achaean jumps out at an unsuspecting mother pushing a pram.
"Hey lady, can I interest you in a health vial? What about a supply of bloodroot, it helps when you get paralysed? I'm sure your baby could use this mending salve, I mean he must cry a lot, and I'm sure you get sick of it..."

Really?
I went to Jupiters on the Gold Coast and found it to be the most depressing place I have ever spent an evening.
It's like 500 people all sitting in front of machines waiting to commit suicide.

Haha, Jupiters used to be the biggest. I've never been but I've driven past it. Crown Casino in Melbourne is now the biggest. It's not bad to visit either as there's a shopping complex as well as the gambling area.
I find the pokies a little depressing too. All they do is buzz and flash and take your moneys!
There was a casino by the hotel I was at in Brisbane called Treasury Casino which is flashy but I don't know if it's good or not.
It was depressing last night when after i finished being at the races, and ended up at a pub/hotel for afew more drinks before later continuing the night... To see some guy WASTE/LOSE 40k on the pokies (he had won that much in credits), he just kept going and going and was still feeding more cash into it, i was crying so much on the inside

I wouldn't mind coming to Melbourne for a meet.
Will we have to supply our own anti- swine flu masks?

No, in Melbourne we're too cultured to be worried with something as mundane as H1N1. It's very common.

The only reason we have more confirmed cases of swine flu is because our diagnosing procedures are so much better then anywhere else in the country
