Just trying to figure out how I'd suddenly pull this off, and keep RP. I'm tired of not learning how to fight... I mean, I was able to pull it off somewhat as some other classes, but I've grown attracted to Serpent mainly because of the challenge. But if I can't get a cornerstone I can't really get the rest... So, I'm trying to figure out what House I should join... I'm not sure if Mhaldor will even let me think of joining (I remember getting prepped for a vivi last time I tried to join), but I guess they might. I'm also getting more and more sick of there only being a few good fighters in Cyrene, and I'm sick of waiting 30 years to rejoin (Got 9 left), but I guess that was my fault for leaving three times. Any recommendations?


Oh, and also sick of getting tips from knights on Serpent combos, because combos like what they use is better for them, because their dsl does damage, compared to my dstab.

So you've joined a City 3 times and left it again and again.
You've been rejected to join Mhaldor.

You refuse to take tips from Knights because they're not serpents.
You're tired of not learning how to fight, but refuse to take tips from knights.

You seem like a huge "Do one thing, too hard so do another" sort of person.

Stick with a City for one, if it's nto working you shouldn't leave/join more than once.
If you want to learn, learn from everyone and find out what works yourself. Don't just dismiss anyone of a single class because "they're not serpents" sort of attitude.

Stick with Cyrene, we you.
And I'll work with you as much as I can on serpent combat, I'm actually learning myself.


P.s. Karr, Cyrene is different than other cities. I have been tempted to leave a million times, but I know that I would inevitably be drawn back in. I can see how Pharue has left and returned three times.

Not completely right, I've been applying a few tips I've gotten from runewardens/paladins, and they seem to work okay, just can't get a lock going, or get scytherus to stick, so it'd be better, IMO, to get advice from those that know what they're doing. As for sticking with a city... Trying to, just gotta wait 9 IG years now, and it's rather annoying.


Edit: I'm not tired of learning how to fight, I'm tired of not knowing where to start... I've started with trying ginseng/curare stacking, as well as ginseng/sensitivity, but it just doesn't seem to be working out too well.

I've been in every single City at some point or another, they're all different in their own little ways but if you join then leave then join then leave then join then leave. Somethings not working out for you.


Read logs, practice every chance you get in the arena, try everything you hear works. It'll only take 2 minutes to try something to find out what's good and what isn't.
I suck at combat, but through just playing with X and figuring out what Y does in the Arena has helped me tons. Least now I can be an asset in a group and not just a newbie who'll die before I get mah macroz working.

You created a whole different character and irl persona because it was too hard to play on Karr anymore and you weren't a good serpent.

I created a new charactor because I wanted a completly different outlook. I was a - serpent, given I was Grook for 90% of it.

I'm not going to say i'm good at combat, in the best of times when I have had internet that doesn't ping at 800ms I did ok. Not good, not horrible, just ok.

I made an alt because I wanted to have no history. I still played on Karr for quite a bit when I had Zintha I was just having more fun in Mhaldor than I was Shallam so Zintha took over.
Pulling off zintha being a girl was just trying to further the disconnection. It worked.. I then wondered if people would change if I said I was Karr and it did. 4 people immedietly stopped speaking to me. 1 e-perv stopped messaging me and suddenly everyones opinion of me dropped.
Along with a lot of "No wonder you were interested in Combat, you're a dude!" sorts of comments.

Was a fun thing to see happen, shame that a lot of people were only willing to talk to me on the premis I was a girl.
I know at least 4 people knew I was a guy when I did play Zintha. I'm surprised it didn't leak earlier.

Still, all I wanted was to play a game. If I knew how many people would latch onto me because they thought I was a good looking girl then I would of just made a guy and stayed quiet.

It's not like I 100% was a girl, e-flirted with people, got married IC and broke peoples hearts. I was completly non-sexual to everyone. I told people to - off if they wanted to be sexual or even get to know me -just- because of the picture I posted or because they thought I was a girl.
You'd be amazed how many people I got PMing/messaging zintha wanting to "get to know me as a person".

I was completly non-sexual, deliberatly blocking people who were to me, yet you say i'm getting off on it? Quite the opposite.

I haven't once had to be asked, on any of my other alts in Ashtan, Shallam, Eleusis, or Mhaldor (I just -can't- get interested in Hashan :/), by a Senator, no less, whether I was showing due respect to my enemies when I hunted them down and killed them.
