Faithia
Apr 18 2009, 04:09 PM
After speaking to a few key people in game I have decided to take Faithia to the Black Isle. I am not sure how well received she will be with a name like hers, but if anything it will bring fruitful and interesting role play. She is still very much in her teens, so I am simply going to start from scratch in the terms of her story line. I have been walking around Mhaldor for a while now, and I have to say that I love what I see.
I think the real reason that I have taken her away from the Crown Merchants was because I want to get more involved in the Occultist part of my character. I was tempted by the Occultist house itself, but I feel the role play offered to me by the Congregation will allow me to throw myself completely into the fray in the terms of her story.
It will be nice to darken the tone of my character too. My last thread on this forum and the discussion that resulted from it made me want to develop this facet of her character.
Malefic Faithia.
Sounds delightful !

The Occultist House is the best place for Occultist RP. Though, I suppose the Congregation could be interesting.
Good luck.

Thanks. I believe I made the right choice. It will be nice to be in contact with both theology and history with regards to my class and house. I realized that making money is not really a big part of Faithia's character, and from what I am reading mortal possessions are not what the congregation is about either!

I do agree here. I -hate- that occultists are allowed in the Congregation. Golgotha should refuse to negotiate with them.

I'd like to see some reasoning for Mhaldor to have a monopoly on Necromancy and Ashtan to have a monopoly on Occultism, to be honest, just the way Shallam has (essentially) a monopoly on Devo.
I doubt it'll happen, though.

There -is- reason. Necromancy was taken from the occultists. It could easily be taken away from all of Ashtan. And Golgotha doesn't like the Congregation, so domination could be taken away from them.
But everyone would rather Mhaldor and Ashtan be buddies. I mean, if they split up, they might like... lose a battle or something. That'd be horrible.

I thought this was about the weird place in Mhaldor Hauclir was talking about. You know that place. The ones with girls... and a man.

I'd be fine with the line between Necromancy (Mhaldor) and Occultism (Ashtan) being accentuated.

Yeah, I misspoke. I'd like to see it happen. I'd like for it to be hardcoded, for the Dread Eclair to be given the authority to pwn nubs who do anything that's not pleasing to the Lords, and for Ashtan enemies to be unable to access Domination or something.

Idea: Enemies of the occultist house get the occultist equivalent to excommunication.

I think that would be splendid idea if Mhaldor had the full rights to Apostate and Ashtan to Occultist. I joined the realms just when the houses had come in, but I must admit I think only joined the Naga -because- of the single class requirements. I have been away for an age, so it is better to be surrounded by people who know their class and know it well.

There are currently 15 Shamans in the Congregation's "active" list. Only two are Full members, Niahm and Astaroth.
Also as a note in the dormant ranks : Caliph Khaseem, Blood Warrior
Back on track, Faithia, you seem an intelligent and interesting girl. I've been trying to ponder a reason to approach and see your role-playing style in the past couple of days and you've given me the perfect situation. I look forward to interacting with you.
