This is a topic simply for discussion.
As a House Secretary, I'm all about managing properly. I avoid micromanaging and try and keep open lines of communication between myself and everyone I work with, because IRL those are my two BIGGEST pet peeves in a work environment. I don't really consider my managing style a part of my character's personality. I try and manage well so I can have more time and less stress to deal with for playing Achaea.
Let's say I had characters all over in different leadership positions. Would you consider it 'Bad RP' to try and keep a similar management style? When is it okay to 'RP a bad manger?
Discuss.

Good management skills shouldn't reflect on one's RP unless they are played as disorganized forgetful leaders. Which, tbh, wouldn't be very long in a position of authority, I'd think. So, I guess my answer is 'no', it's not bad RP. Why would you force yourself to stress out when all you're doing is trying to enjoy yourself, and stay organized to enjoy yourself and your role more?

And in your house, which is set up like a university, I'd think good management skills on behalf of a House Secretary would by very 'good rp'. Perhaps a Serpent House or something similar could run a lackadaisical sort of leadership, but in Achaea, with training newbies and what-not, you do need some solid coordinating skills to run a House well.
