IMO what this actually needs is some re-coding. The defs should not be turned off, rather it's the game participants who need to be made immune to the defs. There's no reason why an entire city's activities have to shut down just because there's a world game going on and vice versa.

Actually the raiders should have left as soon as the non-pk foozle was announced. Because the city defences would have been shut down and I think that's even lamer

Yes, it was Kotori who was rescued from the Mhaldor test subdivisions during a worldgame. Funnily enough, it was her idea to be kidnapped. Originally, she was being 'held captive' in Mhaldor's bank, but when she heard Shallam was making a raid team to rescue her, she had herself moved to the test subdivision. When the rescue mission was successful, she got pissed off because she was trying to roleplay being raped/impregnated by the Tyrannus.
