Well reading over the help files and the mythos and I read the Garden help.

12.13 THE GARDEN OF THE GODS
Little can be said about the Garden of the Gods, for it is, as rumour would
have it, not a place for mortals. It is said to reside at the very top of the
Pillars of Heaven in the Vashnar mountains, but other than that, nearly
nothing is even rumoured.

Now I know in game and actual mechanics to be impossible to find the garden...but I was wondering if one could start looking for it, perhaps a personal quest to beseech the Gods on their own terms or would this get a zap or what?

To find the Garden of the Gods anyone else have some thoughts on the matter?
Trendor
Uh, it's in the Dakhota(sp?) Hills. unsure.gif

I only found it by accident. I believe Rurin is there too.

Edit: But if you would like it to be some sort of event or big moment in your character's life, go for it. Like say, a soul searching journey or something. I don't really know how something like that can be played out.
Griffel
Um, go explore. This is not what the forums are for.

Griffel I don't think your understanding the question. Its not a exploring question, I mean the searching of the Actual garden, the one where the gods reside, maybe I'm not making myself clear. I think Trendor understands a little, and that I do kind of want to play it out, because every god has his or her own temple. But the True garden of the gods, I would think be something to really find. I would make it more akin of someone in ancient greece going "Olympus, I hear the Gods are up there. I'm going to them"

Trendor thanks, You've given me some insight and no its not the name of a room. Thank you.
Danith
Um, Griffel is still right. You can go right up to the gates of the Garden. I believe (but don't hold me to it) that in at least one point in history, mortals were invited into the Garden for some kind of ceremony.

Yes to both points. (The latter was for the wedding of Eris and Aegis.) Besides that, all other details can be explored in-game. smile.gif

Says the one who's got it marked on a map on her website tongue.gif

(Of course, I'm pretty sure I've got it marked on a map too, so who am I to judge?)

ohmy.gif Ugh, I completely forgot!

But I didn't include the path at least. smile.gif

I wanted so badly to get into the Garden. I could only evade into one room, take a look, before I thrust back into the caves. sad.gif

I once tracked to Shaitan. He was at the.. 'atrium/theatre/meeting hall' I can't remember it's exact name but it's where they all hang out. Needless to say I was zapped. Good times though.

P.S.- You can squint past the gates..

P.P.S- Anyone got a layout of The Garden?
Jonathin
I've been to the room with Rurin, I actually sought it out, and was attempting to find a way into the garden, but I gave up after about 10 minutes because my KFC got here.
Hieyoko
Didn't someone explore the Garden via coordinating mind throws in various directions with instant-messaging commands about which way to be thrown? I heard a rumour about something like that a while back - they got caught when they got thrown into a room with (a) Divine in it.
Palanor
I think it's great that Rurin's there.

CODE
ask rurin wares
Rurin says, "I have nothing to sell."

They shoulda squinted first..
Iocun
I sort of "explored" the Garden by obscure means (and without actually entering them). I only managed to map 8 rooms of it though, and I think it's bigger than that (no idea how much). It's also very possible that the layout changes from time to time.

I couldn't go on, because the Gods spotted me and Keresis gave me a fun little RP "punishment".

That would involve doing a command, which almost certainly throws you out.
Slick
You can walk up to the gates, and even sneak a glimpse at the entrance area before it autoboots you.

Clementius used to use it as an area to idle in while he was working. He'd summon people in from time to time for various purposes.
Hipsana
He summoned me once out of no where. But it was like.. his personal study. Back when I did some spywork for him.
Iocun
Sure you don't mean Allington?

Clementius had me do that kind of thing too, except he came to me ph34r.gif

Also kinda funny, cause he used it as a reason to come to me and ask me if I was part of a scam, which I wasn't, and he believed me. So all good, fun and games.

The best part about it, is he asked me to astral into shallam, and then wait for him. When I was there, he had me attack a denizen and get the guards called on me. Something about testing guard following ....

Yeah, oh well. It was all fun times. I do miss Clementius so much wub.gif
Hassan
the mechanics of entering the garden is similar to entering minia or lodi if you're not a newb

you can approach the entrance with rurin but you can't really do much after trying to walk in

I helped him test out river fishing. Getting gold/hr results from various people with differing levels of survival..

That was me, I have half the garden mapped that way. I also got into a few extra rooms by prisming to various Divine, but it's not a very smart choice usually.

I never got caught with mind throw, but I did message Clementius about it and he fixed it. Couldn't have anyone repeating my tricks could I?

The room name is "Ampitheatre (within/in) the Garden," if I recall correctly. I've accidentally followed a God there once, though I got kicked even before autoviewing the room description.

Rurin's an asshole.

That's better.

Ya thas it. I tracked to Shaitan.. bounced and saw he was there.

Telled him, "Did you feel that?"
