I was sketching the other night whilst coming up with ideas for a game/skit within Achaea- which by the way, went successfully.
The game is built of reflexes and illusions and goes along the lines of;
Each player recieves three ducks. These ducks are picked off one by one, until there is one person still holding poultry. Simple. Somewhat like Russian Roulette.

One of the ways the ducks get picked off is by a Jack-in-the-Box (or JitB). The first two JITB sketches turned out rather duck-like (with the exception of the classical JITB at the bottom). I figured, if a Jack is going to be cutting off heads, surely a scissor like beak would make it all that easier? But then teeth are equally as cool.


Duck.

Duck.

Goose.

That said, these sketches don't reflect the final JitB in the skit, as that one had claws and appeared to pounce/prowl.

This is an awesome game, by the way. You really did an amazing job on it. Except for the ease with which someone can cheat... *cough*

I really like the third one, very cool. Although I always pictured jester jack in the boxes to look more..... scary clown like, with clown paint and a big round nose. Yours look like evil robots. Nice work though.

These are really good. I would love to get the second one as a hand puppet to talk to people with when Tahquil thinks they are not worth her time to converse with but is forced to speak with them anyway.

Oooo, can't wait to play this. 3rd sketch is my fav, I think they should be ducks, cause its kinda house reference...ducks AND its a customised game.
