I wish I was brave enough to draw with anything other than a #2 pencil on computer paper.

The figures make me think of some strange Achaea/Marvel Comics hybrid. I don't necessarily disapprove.
Also, I often prefer simple pencil drawings to fully colored ones. Nothing against colored art, it can look amazing, but there's something very appealing to me about simple shading, somehow. Seems to bring more life to the characters, and doesn't distract from them with a dazzling color palette.

I don't get it. This makes you unhappy? I love Psyloche/Psylocke. (Before they gave her a more pronounced Asian look--Fault of the movie?)
Oh and yeah the second one is indeed Nomad. Not the most famous character, and that guy's morals are different. I think the first Nomad comic I read was when he ran over two guys for the crime of tying up deer and stuff and hitting them with their car to create roadkill. And this while he was toting around a baby. I don't think Nomad was an animal fanatic or anything. I think he was more vengeful than was called for.

I'm sad that I didn't notice it. I had to look at it a few times before I noticed. And I also didn't notice you had written their names next to them. XD

Neither did I, hence why I thought that nomad person was cyclops. Psylocke was easy to pick right off the bat though, but i've never heard of nomad

Very nice drawing, even if I don't know the characters.
Not to be nit-picky, but shouldn't this technically be moved?
QUOTE (Pentharian @ Feb 27 2008, 07:22 AM)

Also, to be clear, this is for any kind of media: it can be photos of Achaea-related scupture, poetry or prose...whatever. We would prefer if we kept it all achaea-related here, though. There are other places to post your random art.

If we're getting nit-picky they said prefer, they didn't say that this was explicitly for Achaea reated.

I'm glad you posted this.. there's something I have in mind and wasn't sure, when the time came, where to post (about) it, now that some of the off-topic forums seem to have been removed. Although, I suppose mine IS Achaea-related...

Also, I <3 U Qzadzia, I want you to draw my character too.
Hrm, how about draw him passing out from exhaustion while bashing in Moghedu. He's about to swing a sword, slashing at the filthy Mhun, then 'Oh noes his eyes can't stay open any longer and he passes out'
...You dream of supreme power and world domination...
...Your body is jerked awake by a sharp pain (read: Mhun keeper kicking your narcoleptic asss)

I think the most interesting part of the thread for me was the handwriting present in the comic. I had a girlfriend that used to do handwriting analysis for jury selection, and there's a clear indication of the 'felon's claw' in the writing sample. Kinda interesting.
EDIT: Only in the second set though, not in the first. Strange.
