Even if squinting should require equilibrium balance, it should at least be halved by what it takes now. What about archers who need to see where targets are in other rooms to be able to shoot them? By the time you see someone and you've gotten the ability back to shoot them, they're gone.

Squint stacks eq.
Squint is longer eq balance.
You can squint off bal, off eq, and it still takes eq.
If you squint in a nonexistent direction, it still takes eq.

There's probably more, but whatever.

This is retarded. Every ability that can be performed off EQ and stacks EQ has been systematically changed not to do so; why would they suddenly change an ability that everyone has to work like this?

To be fair though, Vision was pretty overpowered before they changed this.

To be honest, this change is horrible, Squint and Glance are pretty much the exact same skill now, the equilibrium is almost exactly the same, what's the point in even having both? I mean you spend lessons to get up to squint and it turns out to be no better than a skills you had from the start.

Money says an artefact comes out next week that makes it so glance and squint don't take EQ.

In my opinion, squint is still too overpowered. I mean, you can even use it off balance/equilibrium. I suggest squint hurts you when you use it, perhaps 500 health, from straining your eyes too much.

Vision should have a new instantkill ability at trans.

And impatience from waiting for eq to come back, and confusion for not know what the hell is happening, then anorexia because you become all emo and stuff.

And you bleed 500 also because your emoness leads to cutting.

It's closer to two seconds - and again, this affects people who use ranged skills. If I want to snipe someone, I need to see where they are. If I squint to find them SE of me, by the time I've regained my equilibrium and ability to shoot them, they're likely already gone.

Can't you just AIM <target> <direction> to see if the person is there? Squinting is pointless in that situation when you can aim in every direction and snipe your target with a simple alias and one or two triggers.

Yeah, I never squint when I snipe. I just try to shoot them in all directions. If I shoot at them, that's the direction they're in, and I continue to shoot in that direction. It's not difficult.
