wtf is Goliza? A Godzilla reject?

Worst part was with Goliza is I had to ridicule him on out of arena combat and defiling because he is one of my house novices after the whole matter. It was hard to keep a straight face after all that.

Wait, what? eh kills your enemies and doesnt afraid of anything and you made him stop?

Well I considered the attacking and killing self-defense but house novices aren't allowed to go on defiling sprees...clearly he can handle himself though.

Meh. I think houses should replace their "no novices in combat" policies with "You may engage in combat with house/city enemies with the understanding that you may and likely will suffer the consequences of doing so."

I don't that this word means what you think it means.

Edit: If I'm wrong, the Sentaari have changed a lot and I heartily approve.

No its more just how Fauscht is, I basically made him feel stupid for not understanding the consequences of his actions. Fauscht enjoys the arts of mocking people for stupid decisions. "Well I didnt think someone would attack me for defiling their gods shrine" isn't a valid excuse. No - sherlock...you perhaps need to think more.

So Yes I did Ridicule...as it being a common Sentaari practice.....NO I can assure you its not.

Oh noes! Does this mean people take responsibility for their actions?

The only result I see from making new ones avoid combat (some Houses even ban it in the ARENA!) is that people hear about how hard it is and the difficulty grows in their mind to a point where the task seems unsurmountable.

Actually, the best reason I can see for keeping novices out of conflict is to prevent the backlash for actions made without knowledge of consequence, or, in the case of lolalts, actions made with the -intent- of causing larger scale trouble.

Let's be real. We all know that the killing of said novice isn't the backlash we're talking about. But, for some reason, a novice defiling a shrine seems to be reason enough for the offended party to launch back full-scale retribution. Do you really want a city raided because Captain Newbiepants decided it was a good idea to defile a shrine/kill a low-level loyal denizen/walk in to Cyrene and yell, "Respect this!" while making obscene hand gestures, or some other idiot move?

And on-topic, this log is delightful. laugh.gif

Edited for a typo smile.gif
