I didn't intend to write this and I take no pleasure in it whatsoever, but there were some things I couldn't take care of in-character/in-realms:

I just wanted to express my sincere thank you to Sarapis, Maya, Neraeos, Clementius, all the other Gods past and present, and so many generations of Achaeans I have had the pleasure of knowing for making my seven year Achaean experience one that will remain dear to me. In two weeks, I must unwillingly leave the realms at last, and after spending so many hours of my life investing myself in the game, there is so much more I would like to say but words just cannot express. It has already been incredibly difficult for me saying goodbye to my Achaean family, the Nerai. You guys are bar none the best Order in the history of Achaea. Don't ever forget your lore, your religion, your rituals, your Fleet, your history, your traditions, your triumphs, your dignity, your Aristeia, and all the other facets that make you stand apart. Your messages and letters have also made me tear up - it means so very much to me. S'hris Neraeos! Sahtae aran Ksiradhi reh'na Pelagia. When I step back and take a look, I actually grew up with this, the Achaean community, which has made this experience even more meaningful for me. Thank you especially to the Pentad for letting Asara and I contribute at the level that we did, in all avenues and means that we did. I truly enjoyed every minute of it. I don't regret any of it. The bottom line is that I had fun.

This brings me to my maps. I am so humbled that they have become such a staple in your adventures and for the novices you direct them to. Unfortunately my leaving means this enterprise will also end. My website will be up for about one more year, but the hosting site that contains the maps and mainpage will remain up as long as it remains free (http://asara.freehostia.com/AsaraEslofe.html). I will not be popping into the realms to update them anymore, but I am happy that they helped as much as they did. Thank you for using them! I hope they have made playing a little more enjoyable.

If anyone wishes to get ahold of me, you can do so via asaraeslofe@gmail.com, but I cannot promise I'll be able to get back to you with the same dedication I used to. I will be very busy. Achaea has come a long way. This world has an open-ended complexity that is responsible for the depth that makes Achaea great - enjoy it! Thank you for letting me be a part of it! I am really going to miss everyone. sad.gif

Achaea just lost 15% mana, health, endurance and willpower.

Goodbye, good luck.

Edit: seriously, I'm imagining Achaea in which everyone is new and I know no one. That's what it's slowly turning into.

You already know my thoughts, but even so.

The Order's going to be so weird without you. And so is so much else. sad.gif

Good luck, with everything.

I never knew your character very well, but I enjoyed the times we did interact. smile.gif And I'll miss your maps, too. sad.gif

EDIT: I think the big unspoken question here is "why?".... are we allowed to ask that? >_>

Never thought that Babelonian bye bye phrase would find its practical use.

Well... In light of Asara's announcement that her maps website won't be maintained, I'll prematurely announce that my own maps website is under development (with some sweet features), and anyone who wants to take a peek can poke me in private. I do suggest using Asara's maps while they're still here though... she has a lot more experience than I do, and she has arguably the most complete collection in existence.

EDIT: I think the big unspoken question here is "why?".... are we allowed to ask that? >_>

I've avoided revealing my OOC self as much as I could my entire time here, mostly because it would affect Asara. But I guess since that's out of the way, I've finally finished a phys and neuro Masters and will be headed off to medical school in a little under two weeks. There is absolutely no way I will find time playing Achaea while studying, and my personality is such that I don't like half-assing anything so dipping into Achaea here and there won't work. It wouldn't be prudent. I have to be realistic about it (even though I'm pissed off about it at the moment!) and won't be returning.

But thank you everyone for your warm wishes! wub.gif
